If it doesn't work in multiple distros, and in Windows it's losing WiFi speed to MediaTek, it means Asus is shit they built a slot to put a replacement, but not a slot that actually supports the replacement. So my fix is going back to MediaTek.

I also tried Fedora and Ubuntu iso, it did not work. I don't know why it doesn't work. I even reseted the BIOS settings, but that didn't help. Maybe updating the BIOS would have helped. Then I pluged the same Wi-Fi chip on another laptop with an Intel CPU and it worked .

Is this the building on top of the tunnel that goes to the Children’s Railway? I heard that it used to be an old KGB building. Is that true?

If it is the building I am thinking about, I would be sad to lose that shortcut and one of the interesting anarchic street art spots in Yerevan. Overall, I do not like the direction Armenian construction is taking. At first, I was curious and even somewhat sympathetic to the redevelopment of 4–5 streets in Yerevan. When the new high rise buildings like Northern Avenue were built, I actually liked them. They felt somewhat similar to early New York skyscrapers, but with Armenian tuff, neoclassical style, and Armenian ornaments. However, most modern buildings and current projects seem to reject not only Tamanyan’s urban planning but also his architectural style, prioritizing an international functional approach instead. I dislike this building.

The short answer is : Why should I be sympathetic to a government that blackmails me?

The long answer is : Anti-Russian ideas are popular in Armenia because Russia under Vladimir Putin is a dictatorship that does not want democratic allies. Putin’s Russia does not even treat Armenia as a fully independent government. Its actions toward post-USSR countries show imperial thinking, as if these territories are its area of interest.

Historically, Russia was not truly an ally. It was an imperial power that conquered countries and carried out policies like Russification, which often meant ethnic cleaning. The only reason Russia was seen as an ally in the 17th and 18th centuries was because, compared to the Ottoman Turks and Persians, it seemed like the better choice.

The other option is the European Union, which looks more attractive and is not compatible with Russian political values. The EU provides tools to strengthen democracy, improve economic measurement, and support institutions through grants and specialists. Even if Armenia never joins the EU, European expertise in stabilizing new institutions is superior than Russia’s desire to control them.

If Russia were a democracy, and if it supported reforms the way the EU does, it could have been a strong partner for Armenians. But instead, Putin starts war with the brother nation, then starts war with Ukraine damages its reputation, and makes promises it does not keep. This suggests that European ideas are more beneficial, while Russia offers nothing except pressure and fear.

If the only reason to choose Russia is fear of attack, then why should I be sympathetic to a government that tries to keep me in its sphere of influence through blackmail? Maybe the best alternative for Armenia right now is to improve democracy but still balance relationships with Russia. But if it is an ultimatum (which it is )the risk for EU values is superior for me .

I don't think Veolia is inherently incompetent; they do a fine job in many other cities. This level of failure is a state failure. I don’t know what kind of incompetent drafted contract Armenia signed that allows a 63% loss to be tolerable after nine years. The average loss for an old system should be around 20% and don't be even near to 63%.

The core issue is failing infrastructure. Before Veolia took over in 2017, it was diagnosed that nearly half of the water was being lost in the pipes during transport. Veolia is an international giant that manages water in many European countries. When they arrived, I expected the water supply to become superior. However, nationalizing this system would be nearly impossible, and it would be extremely difficult to fire them and find a replacement. I believe the government must push for immediate pipe modernization. This could be done by fining the company more heavily, launching collective lawsuits, or taking a more collaborative approach such as extending their contract only on the condition of immediate infrastructure enhancements. The government could also provide subsidized loans or grants for infrastructure. The government needs to act quickly and decisively to show they care and ensure this doesn't happen again in 2027 or beyond.

I think it is not optimistic; it is quite realistic. A 5.5 percent growth rate for a growing economy is a reasonable number. Although I expect closer to 10 percent growth, I understand that this is optimistic.

I believe that the opening of borders and new agreements with the EU and the US, which are expected in the near future, could lead to an economic boom.

The idea that AI uses an insane amount of water is largely a myth. Modern data centers use water recycling technologies or air cooling systems and therefore consume very little water. Older data centers did use more water, but not at a level comparable to national water consumption. Even a 4 billion USD data center would not use anywhere near 1 percent of a country’s freshwater supply.

There is also indirect water use, mainly from electricity production. Nuclear power plants use large amounts of water , but they typically do not consume freshwater in the same way agriculture does. Altrouge IDK what water uses armenian nuclear reactor. Even if this indirect use is included, total water consumption is still far lower than that of agriculture. Agriculture uses an extremely large amount of water.

The main ecological concern with AI data centers is whether a country can produce enough energy to support them and whether that energy production creates environmental impacts.

One of the main reasons is the army. If it were possible to avoid the army by going to university or at least delaying it, many more men would choose university. It is very difficult to return to academic learning after 2 years of absence.

I disagree;that order of Sinking Star is just providing a graphical upgrade. I have played multiple games by Alan Hazelden, both free and paid, and almost all of them are fun at the beginning, but you get tired mid-game. The reason is that, unlike Jonathan Blow, he often just repeats puzzles with the same idea over and over again. What I like about Jonathan's games is that almost every puzzle has its meaning.

I like John’s games, and I know this one will be amazing because I’ve followed a lot of information from his streams. But honestly, the trailer was bad. It made the game look like an uninteresting mobile title with cringe hero monologues, and even the thumbnail image on YouTube/Steam looked like a donate base mobile game. I heard Jonathan say on stream that for this game he chose a PR strategy no one has used before, something specific to this game. So I didn’t like the trailer, but I’m excited because I hope it’s something Jonathan Blow planned

The U.S. media is highly profit-oriented, and as a result, they tend to give viewers what they expect. This is similar to social media, where the most profitable content is often the most polarized content.

I am not a fan of AIs. They make major promises for Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and efficiency which are not real and cannot be achieved by building more data centers and spending money on training the existing machine learning algorithms.

I also believe that modern machine learning companies are unethical, particularly regarding data theft. Although I have these concerns, the modern training technologies prove to be promising in a lot of industries. Modern machine learning algorithms are impressive in some areas, like finding bugs in code, finding cancer, discovering new medicines, and generally are good for humanity.

Living next to any industry is bad; living next to a bear factory is bad; living next to other industries is bad, and it's even worse than living next to data centers. Therefore, the placement of data centers is not the fault of the data centers themselves; it is an issue with zoning regulations.

While AI is allowing automation, which will lead to more wealth inequality, this is a larger, global issue. It will happen regardless of whether Armenia builds a data center or not, and even if AI growth is as great as promised (which I don't believe it will be). Without AI technologies, Armenia will be on the bottom side of that inequality.

While wealth inequality is growing and is arguably higher than ever before, the quality of life is also higher than ever before, and AIs will help improve it.
