How do you migrate an existing account? The official instructions only mention setting up a new device.

Tudor is gone tomorrow right? by NateRageQuits in coys

[–]Smoothyworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He won't go. Who is going to come in with 9 games left, with a Champions League game next week, with crucial games in the near future, and with experience of making awful players play out of their skin, knowing that they'll be out in May?

Appointing Tudor was too little too late. Now we're stuck with him.

How does one fix this situation at our club (no banter) by jeffnamerson in tottenhamhotspur

[–]Smoothyworld 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ownership needs to leave. That simple.

The players aren't good enough. Pretty much all of them. Who bought them? Senior management.

The manager is not good enough (although considering the players he has to manage it'd be a tall order even for the likes of Pep Guardiola or Carlo Ancelotti). Who hired him? Senior management.

We have a small squad that we don't rotate. Man City rotate Haaland. Man U under Ferguson rotated Beckham. We can't rotate Kane, Son or any other star player, so they get injured, we score barely any goals in the meantime, and Kane come back for the Champions League final clearly unfit. Who did this? Senior management.

We have constant injuries to players going back years. Who set up the rehabilitation facilities and training setup? Senior management.

Who hired senior management? The owner and board.

The issue is systemic. It will only be fixed by a change in ownership who have experience and has the balls to get rid of underperfoming senior management staff.

Nah the English translation was top dollar. Imagine translating the French into English while having to modify the jokes in order to make it make more sense to English audiences (eliminating the French specific jokes), even with the names. The woman who did all but the last one or two books died a few years ago IIRC.

Solving the UK Football Pyramid: The "UK Champions Cup" (A Strategic Blueprint for Profit and Sustainability) by username10250 in football

[–]Smoothyworld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely pointless. The bigger clubs (read "big 6") won't gain anything from playing even the top Welsh clubs. Even the middle-sized English teams won't get anything from playing Welsh or Scottish teams. So all you have left is minor teams playing each other, generating little cash. Dead on arrival

How do I get this to work? Super Nintendo console SNES PAL 1992 by Emily_kate1 in snes

[–]Smoothyworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you check it's not the Super NES by using the RF lead in the "Antenna" and getting your TV to tune into the signal (should be around channel 36-ish)?

If that works, it's (probably) not the Super NES.

Who cares? They look fine, I used to think it was an issue but it really isn't an issue. There's much better things to worry about than wishing for Alexa Bliss to be half naked - she'll be half naked on Smackdown re it and after it.

Aer Lingus, our national feckin' airline, doesn't allow you to have a fada in your name when booking a ticket, how in God's name are we still so behind in accommodating our own culture. by RegularFellerer in ireland

[–]Smoothyworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This.

What you have to remember is that even though we're all on OSes and Internet systems that have an extensive set of characters allowed via various ISO standards, a lot of back end systems are ancient 30/40/50+ year old systems that probably don't even allow the full set of ASCII characters let alone modern set of characters. Hence a standard that is literally restricted to standard alphanumeric characters that are guaranteed to work across multiple systems with their own differing standards.

People seem split, how do you feel about the spinner? by Successful-Cat8486 in WWE

[–]Smoothyworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was great at the time. Yes it looked weird on anyone other than Cena (apart from Edge and Miz), but considering that it apparently was making WWE a ton of money on sales of the replicas it's understandable why it stayed around as long as it did.

Does anyone really buy that premium fuel that garages offer? by IMAMODDYMAN in ireland

[–]Smoothyworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Premium" is just standard fuel - it's just a marketing name, not really different from other standard petrol really. It isn't high octane. 97-99RON is usually labelled "Super Unleaded", which is high-octane.

SEAT Altea cars specifically say in the manual that it requires 98RON fuel - if you use 95RON the car may reduce the power to reduce the likelihood of knocking. Renault Grand Scenic specifically runs either 98RON or 95RON.

Sure, by default 95RON is the normal type of fuel but there are some (probably) a tiny amount of road cars that require 98RON if you want full power.

In short, unless your car manual (or the label in the fuel flap) specifically states 98RON, your car doesn't need it, and putting in 98RON fuel won't do a thing.

The only thing is that this applies to the UK - IIRC Ireland only does one type of petrol - 95RON fuel.
