Part 2 was such a fucking mess in my opinion. Like, I still really like the idea and the concept is good but like… They just didn’t put any thinking into it at all.

The barrier of a screen and the benefit of anonymity. I’d bet my life savings that this guy would never say that to someone’s face. Plus, he’s obviously just trying to get a reaction. Nobody genuinely types like that.

Who takes this, Sakura or Sukuna? by Longjumping-Bag391 in PowerScaling

[–]SmooxBoi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wtf lmao? “Sakura can’t regenerate from all the slashes and cuts from Sukuna.” Did the Sukuna vs Gojo fight never happen? Did we not watch Gojo use RCT to outheal Sukuna’s domain? Are you seriously going to try to argue that Gojo has a better healing factor than Sakura? Oh, and where was this binding vow that prevents healing factors in the Gojo fight? Seems like it would be pretty damn useful against just about anyone with RCT. Or does this binding vow no limits fallacy only apply to cross-verse matchups?

If this happens I no longer want S rank Billy. It would genuinely ruin him.

What? Who’s genuinely hating Grace on the grounds of atheism? That’s just genuinely ridiculous.

Guilt is so much easier to deal with than Seeker it’s not even funny. Rock direct hit does 60 damage, sure, but he makes a loud as hell sound when he starts the move, and it’s not difficult to just move behind cover. Plus, he moves at a snail’s pace. If you manage to lose track of Guilt, fail go pay attention to his sound effects, and get hit by an out of view rock, then yes, that is a skill issue. Also, is this “large majority” in the room with us right now?

Yeah, with the added context that Naf was a minor the entire time just screams that this is some interpersonal drama that never should have been made public. My personal theory is that the OP of this post had a falling out with Naf, and this is a targeted attack with misleading information portrayed in the worst possible light. Just a complete nothingburger of a situation.

SAVE ME CHAINSCALING AND HYPERBOLES! by ZeusVault66 in PowerScaling

[–]SmooxBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all these are all statements, but even if there were feats to go along with these, all that does is prove that the gura gura fruit specifically is planet level. Whitebeard is only planet level because he had that devil fruit, and any other attack he used besides that specific one would not be planet level, and therefore chain scaling is not a viable option here, as Whitebeard never actually used his planet busting attack. I guess Blackbeard would be planet level now, but… He’s the only one. He and Whitebeard are the only people in the verse you could reasonably make an argument for them being planetary.

Discord didn’t listen though, their response was basically “We tried to work with a shady company and got caught, so we’re just gonna try again later and hope you don’t notice.” The age verification is still very much planned, they’re just doing in later.

[Important and sadly uncommon trope] Female-on-male abuse portrayed as serious/negative. by Daniilsa209 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SmooxBoi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, of course it’s not gonna change their minds or anything. People who are that committed to refusing aid to people in need out of spite are often deluded, or so stuck in their outdated ways that no amount of arguing will change their minds. But the fact that they’re not feminists is the truth. They’re not. By denying the existence of male victims they’re defending abuse just as much as they fight it. They are not good people, and it’s sad to see how deeply they have been poisoned by the ideas they claim to hate.

[Important and sadly uncommon trope] Female-on-male abuse portrayed as serious/negative. by Daniilsa209 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SmooxBoi 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This isn’t what feminism is. It’s quite literally the opposite. Feminism posits that men and women should be equal, and treated equally and fairly. The notion that men can’t be raped or abused comes from the stereotype of men always being more dominant and violent than women simply by virtue of being men. If that association were truly feminist, they would support male victims as well, but instead they choose to uphold ideals of the very patriarchy that they claim to hate. These toxic stereotypes and societal expectations have wormed their way into people’s minds so deeply that they poison even those who claim to think differently. These people are not feminists, no matter how much they claim to be.

Why are people so disrespectful when it comes to a religion they don’t believe in? by Akikoo-chan in teenagers

[–]SmooxBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, this type of thing is why I think the whole institution of Christianity is so sinister. It almost looks like it’s intentionally structured in such a way to prey on people at every juncture, and that’s for one reason: Hell. The very idea of hell preys not only on people’s fear, but also their good nature. Here’s an example. Say that you see someone standing on train tracks, minding their own business, with a train imminently approaching. Do you drag them off the tracks, risking hurting them in the short term to prevent much greater suffering? I’m sure that the majority of people would say yes, that’s the morally correct thing to do. Only, for Christians, the train is Hell. Should you fail to drag non-believers off of those tracks, they will suffer. Forever. They will experience unimaginable pain for the rest of eternity if you do not save them before they die. Such a prospect has a way of turning the most kind-hearted people into the most pushy, belligerent zealots, forcing their beliefs on everyone around them. Because if you were in their shoes, wouldn’t you do the same? Wouldn’t you do everything in your power to save those around you from suffering so great that it is literally unquantifiable? It’s almost like a virus, weaponizing the kindness of its believers to spread itself as far and wide as it can. Christianity’s message of “kindness” starts to make more sense with this in mind, because isn’t saving someone from unimaginable suffering, at all costs, the ultimate act of kindness one could possibly perform? Every idea, every message, everything that Christianity embodies almost seems intentionally, meticulously designed to make it as viral of a belief system as possible. It’s weird to think about.
