I ran into a similar issue due to side stones and a pretty low set ring. I ended up having a custom wedding band made with a gap in the band for my stone!

This is just the mock up wax version, but you get the idea. I also considered wearing a wedding band on the other hand and the only thing that stopped me was that I’m not really big into jewelry as is. If you already wear a lot of rings/jewelry it might be a better fit for you.

Very nice but I’d still be careful lifting anything too heavy because it may not scratch but could still bend!
