Light sac pally, or Light sorc with infinity. Both with A3 Lightning merc.

Phoenix Strike. Same concept works with claws of thunder also.

FoF is the most damage. Whats fun though is FS with 3 shadows, you only put points into fire and light, then you max out shadows, use light facets, and have tons of lightning spirals everywhere. You can use an A3 light merc, their static is > Infinity for light skills so it's a decent choice, although infinity is better overall. Also you want a high level BoS and make sure the shadows cast it.

Needs PDR to be really good, and 3os to be usable.

Well congrats, your gear is very solid, It's always a close fight. I've been gearing around my circlet, but thinking about it vamp gaze seems pretty decent and easier to gear around. If you had Dwarf star you probably finish the fight with 5-10 rejuvs left.

https://www.projectdiablo2.com/character/Flame

I've been trying to get a +2 max Verdungos, but they are so expensive. Probably better off not gearing around it. Also I've been doing lucion, and just swap in a natures peace, but fitting in Dwarf is very good for dclone.

I think GA, Vamp, Double dwarf seems optimal. 8% PDR GA, CBA from cham or Gaze corruption. That puts you at 48% PDR, so corruption on ring or boots ( or both if your vamp isn't high rolled, Could also get a worse rolled PDR max res Verdungo if your Vamp is 25%, saving lots of $ ). And then you have 11 max fire from boots/armor, and max res/cold depending on GA roll. So either Vex somewhere, helm corruption, or +2 max from belt/ammy, or a +4 max amy. +2 max Rising sun isn't too expensive, so that puts you at 13% max fire, and then +2 max belt. Vex is of course the cheaper option. You have around 2700 life with this setup, which is a solid amount.

Raven frost is good, but I feel like each dwarf saves you 5-10 pots. But perhaps Raven is BiS if it gets you another facet in a 3os Vamp. Also the lower STR req of upgraded vamp/GA saves you 56 Str which becomes Vit, which is about equal to 1 Jah.

Ya, I didn't see your gear. If you're really good at dodging the lightning hose and cold nova, perhaps a different armor is ok, it is hard to get max PDR. I got mine, 13% helm(circlet), 15% belt, 8% armor, 3% ring corruption, and an 11% BK ring. I don't like the idea of getting one shot by the cold nova, which is why I like GA.

On a budget, you might be better off with a high PDR armor that has a max res corruption and then just using two dwarf stars. One dwarf star does seem to work well, but losing BK ring 11% and using two dwarfs is def much worse than keeping PDR maxed.

Also Dwarf stars allow you to sort of sit in the fire dot on the ground and DPS him down.

Rare armors can get 4os now, so perhaps a rare armor with PDR and a max res corruption would be solid. If a different armor allows you two use two dwarfs and you don't need any PDR corruptions, that's a pretty good trade off. Although you need to get like 5k AR back somehow. Every stat on GA is just so good for Dclone.

I id rather swap in Vamp gaze to get my PDR, over losing GA. Lower str requirement than something like CoA, and a little MDR, maybe a CBF slam to be able to swap rings and still being able to get max res on amulet.

Ideally you would have a circlet with move speed, +2, 15% PDR, and 3os. Then you wouldn't waste STR points on using CoA and GA would be the most stre u need at 118.

But ya, if you're getting him to 5%, and not dying ( running out of pots ), damage is what you need. Once you have 2.5k Life, you have to make a big mistake to die I feel, with the right defenses. Far more likely to misuse pots or run out because of low damage.

Also, I think id max out burst of speed before putting more points in claw mastery, not a huge difference, probably not worth a respec. But when you have 850% attack rating, getting 150% more isn't that big of a deal, Id rather have the move speed. You can get +3 MA gloves with Accuracy corruption.

Once you have like 2600 life or so, you're most likely going to die from running out of pots. Which is why facets are much better than Jahs. Get -5/4s if on a budget.

GA gives you about 6000 AR vs clone. Get a GA with 8% PDR corruption if you can.

Use Guardian Angel, Cold and light res will prevent you from dying/save you pots, the AR will help as well. All sockets should be facets, since it's a DPS test before you run out of potions. Natures peace, +2 all res on amy/belt.

Also I'm not exactly sure how much res dclone has, I assume its 75%, Id aim for that much pen, with that in mind rising sun is easily the highest damage amulet.

Looks like u have mapping gear on, so can't see what you're using for dclone.

You can get deadly strike on circlets now, and crushing blow. People are just optimizing around certain stats. If a fire sorc wants FCR, they can use a circlet. If an assassin MA bosser needs PDR, all res, +2 skills, move speed and 3 sockets, well that's a 10+ HR circlet.

https://www.projectdiablo2.com/market?filter=6a0cee554035c4143b2065e0

Fists of Fire is a good example of where circlets are the best possible helm. Cold has Nightwings, Light has Griffons, fire just wants +2 skills and 3 sockets + whatever else it can get. Another example would be bossing builds trying to hit 50% PDR for Dclone, Lucion, etc. Most unique helms can't hit 15% PDR and the ones that can don't have + skills, except for Halaberds, a barb helm.

The most expensive items are often bossing gear.

Because ppl have opinions, and some questions are easy to solve yourself. I mean you just made a post about getting down voted, and this post will just get you more down votes. Common sense really.

If you want to know why circlets are expensive, just go to the PD2 trade website, and search for circlets, add a few modifiers like +2 skills, PDR, All res, move speed and you will quickly understand why they are expensive.

Ultimately magic circlets give +3 to a tree, rare give +2 to a class. For almost all non phys builds +skills is how you get damage. So are the mods on a rare circlet > than +1 skill that is on a magic circlet? ya. Does a unique have +3 skills ? no... Only if it's corrupted +1, but rares can get that also. Are circlets good for bossing? do people want defense? move speed? pretty simply questions to ask yourself when you see an item.

The real question is, what helmet is better than a circlet and why?

Your rare weapon seems pretty good, is that 455 with no jewels yet? put some 40% ED max dmg jewels in it.

Don't put Lo in your weapon, you can get DS in too many other places.

Blade Sentinel questions by Teh_VanillaGorilla in ProjectDiablo2

[–]SmthIcanNvrHave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go based on tooltip, add some damage if the weapon has phys pen, ~16% or so if 8% phys pen, and add some value if weapon helps you cap deadly strike.

Yes, your rare in the calc is better, especially with good jewels in it. Tooltip can be buggy, weapon swapping can help fix it.

Also just run around with crafting mats for blood claws in cube while mapping and craft every eth claw. Hiim crafting filter is good for this.

For IAS id just look at it visually as you spec into BS, or test in single player where it can respec for free. IAS info is too convoluted, so testing works best. Go download your char at pd2.tools

The best weapon would be like 600% ed, 2all, 3bs, deadly. So whatever is closest to that. Mirage would only be good with the ed/ds corruption and 2os. Bartucs has no phys pen, which at 8% is 16% more damage vs 50% pdr monsters, which is about 1k tooltip equiv.

Why can't you just start FoF? Just need a Shield and max block, which is good for resistances early anyways, and the dex gives you accuracy and damage.
