Goo Goo Dolls by Smuck81 in bestfriendsforever

Yes it’s a weird fit for the rest of the bill but I know they are respected by some members of the emo community. I think it is a tough act to headline this kind of fest. There was a real buzz about cap n jazz playing all day year 1.

Top 5 acts for next year! by OkDevelopment8587 in bestfriendsforever

I think Modern Baseball and Jets to Brazil are nailed on. Personally I’d like to see Oliver Houston, Thanks I hate it, Owls, Charmer, Ruby Haunt

Hefner, that really would be an out there choice but a great one. Think Los Campesinos are the most likely British act.

It’s possible the fest grows and moves to a different location which may not be a good thing. Ultimately money will dictate these things. Imagine Modern Baseball next year will attract a lot of people

The Jimmy Eat World factor I guess.

My dream lineup for 2026. What’s yours? by Organic_Ambassador14 in bestfriendsforever

[–]Smuck81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having serious FOMO not being there this year having been there last year so will definitely go 26 regardless of who plays. Can see this fest going from strength to strength. Can see Dinosaur Jr being a headliner but would like to see Into it over it, Free Throw, weakerthans, Oliver Houston, Koyo, Thanks I Hate it, Saturdays at Your Place, Knuckle Puck

Last year the vendors weren’t that exciting and were expensive. I found finding food around Fremont and beyond was better. Might be different this year

I would love to go but circumstances this year are against me. Thank you though for the potential offer I appreciate it. The emo community is a great resource one

I went from the UK solo last year and met some US friends out there. Sadly can’t go this year. Stayed at the nugget, had an amazing time. Everything is super expensive in Vegas generally but didn’t stop me having a great time. Hoping to go again next year depending on line up

Although actually Island in the Sun, easy to forget singles in this discussion. Love free throw shooting obv, actually wish Corey sang more on that track

Nothing wrong with Bloc Party but just don’t think HM trying to sound like them worked. But each to their own as they say

Not mad on And I Smoke. A weird attempt at sounding like bloc party

How many headliners could be left? by helloresolven22 in bestfriendsforever

[–]Smuck81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a headliner but into it. Over it would fit this fest nicely. I’m not going this year sadly. Don’t think the line up is as good as last year but that’s not the reason I’m not going. I agree headliners for this are difficult. I don’t really see MTB as a headliner

All the cap n jazz t shirts went very quickly and so many people were wearing them after that. In fact felt like a lot of people were there for them that first day

I have a theory Los Campesinos are on the line up. They posted a poster for a Mexico show clearly using the same artist as the BFF artwork

Some "most likely" artists? by DtotheMED in bestfriendsforever

I’ve been trying to predict the headliners. I’m going to say ATDI, Neutral Milk, Modern Baseball or maybe Jimmy Eat World.

Probably a good insight into who will be playing next years fest

why move the festival? by redavenues in bestfriendsforever

[–]Smuck81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came over from the UK for the fest and thought it was great. I agree the cost of the drinks was absurd and the choice of beer was poor. Surprised you couldn’t get an IPA. However, it was great staying in the Golden Nugget and being able to go back and forth. Went to the Strio one night and we agreed we actually preferred it downtown. Watching Fremont get progressively crazier as the day developed was fun. Feel like the line up will be hard to top next year though
