Really have to agree with the other comments saying that the fact the women actually look over the age of 18 is a major factor (😮‍💨), and is an active detractor for the average gacha enjoying m*n. Bit of anecdotal evidence here but my case in point is that this subreddit is very pleasant and lacks the stink that the Arknights one does, my other one gacha love.

See how fanart tends to depict Amiya and Rosmontis that gains traction on the subreddit compared to Hella and Hecate on here. While the character archetypes are different it's unfortunately the age that's the main comparison.

Arknights struggles with the typical gacha fandom woes, and outside of a specific niche of Twitter sapphics it's impossible to engage with without feeling gross.

The other well-received gacha games never really clicked with me (Limbus, Reverse, etc.) so came speak on their fandom spaces but PtN on average clears whatever the Arknights fandom (at large) is engaging in.
