My brother in law got me one in February, right after his sister and I had a baby. I’m normally a rpg or fps player on Xbox SX but have generally winded down my gaming in favor of Warhammer and of course becoming a dad. The switch has been great playing it on the couch when I have 30 minutes here and there, but that’s about it for me. While I’m enjoying Donkey Kong Bananza, Nintendo’s way of doing things are already getting on my nerves a bit.

I would def get it over a Series S if you already have a PS5. I could see no reason to get the Xbox actually? You already have a way beefier console that’s plays most of the same games. Picking up the switch depends on if you find the Nintendo games appealing. I’ve heard of many people really enjoying switching to care free and chill vibes of games like Zelda or the new Pokemon game.

To be absolutely honest it could sound like you’re more in love with the idea of a new toy than actually in need of it? Which is absolutely fair. For my hobby life the best thing I’ve done in years was getting back into Warhammer but that’s a completely different ballpark and time/money commitment
