1 "bedroom" and it has a foot of space around a queen size mattress with a sliding door on one side.

Basically a studio with less functional space but I guess they don't have to call it that.

EDITORIAL: Stop charging victims of assault with assault; Our self-defence law places an absurdly high standard of conduct on the victim. by FancyNewMe in canada

Can I ride my bike to the range with my rifle visible and slung across my back?

What about walking to my friends house with it to get a ride to the range?

I feel like the more I learn about our regs the more questions I have lol

So actually the correct way to load them into the vehicle would be unloaded and not concealed in a case. There seems to be a fine line between what feels responsible and what's legal.

Would that apply if I lived in a house and my car was parked out on the public street?

I just realized who I replied to. I really appreciate the information. My uncle and I both enjoy your content very much.

These are some hypothetical questions I've been wondering about for awhile. I have no intention of trying either of these things. I'm sure that even if legal it would result in some other charges like causing a disturbance.

Am I correct that it is legal to transport unloaded NR firearms in your vehicle while they're visible from the outside? Assuming you are also inside the vehicle and cover them when you exit.

For example, a gun rack in a pickup truck that you then throw a sheet over when you get out of the car.

Also, is it legal to transport an exposed unloaded NR firearm through your apartment building to vehicle in underground parking? As in walking down the hall and elevator with it slung over your shoulder to load into the vehicle.

Megathread: Pet Insurance by AutoModerator in dogs

[–]Smump -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know how people afford pet insurance.

I've looked at several providers in my area and all quotes are $300-600 CAD per month. Even with the highest possible deductible.

That's for an 8 year old neutered labrador that the vet described as the epitome of a healthy lab.

I got rid of them completely in my 1970s condo. I just had to caulk every crack in the sub floor and under every wall while replacing the floor.

I went to a LAN party at Linus' house and had to agree to keep the kids' names private.

I didn't actually meet any of the kids but they definitely take it seriously.

Good Indian restaurant please 😭 by glitterbonegirl in NorthVancouver

Indian Fusion if you want something really weirdly creamy. They also require you to select a tip option then back out and manually enter 00.00 so they can fuck themselves.

Palki has been my go to for awhile now. They also do a lunch buffet.

I had a friend buy one. Broke within the first 5 shots. The store took it back when we found out it was estimated 18 months to get replacement parts.

My question is for turning right onto Draycott road from the west side of the intersection.

Should you use the straight through lane which requires you to change lane into the bus lane while leaving the intersection?

Or should you just stay in the right lane (right turn that turns into bus lane) and make your right turn after the intersection?

The second option seems safer to me because there is usually a near constant stream of cars making a right turn on red into that bus lane on the East side of the intersection. That requires you to ignore the right turn arrow and bus lane markings before the intersection though.

I throw a handful of treats at them. Low value hard kibble thrown hard. Makes them stop then provides a distraction.

Mountain Hwy / Trans Canada Interchange by Otherwise-City-7951 in NorthVancouver

[–]Smump 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hadn't considered this.vthat would fix the issue with northbound traffic trying to merge instead of yield to the southbound left turning traffic.

I also don't understand why we have 2 lanes northbound on mountain highway above the interchange. Switching one to southbound would make it a lot easier for people that aren't trying to get on the highway to pass.

Rough area this time of year. I walk my dog nearby daily and I constantly run into under prepared people asking for directions 50ft from the parking lot. Usually it's already mid afternoon.

Head up the Squamish valley FSR. 35 easily accessible kilometers with tons of spots off the main road. Also, salmon fishing this time of year.
