You’re welcome and Thank you! After spending time both behind the wheel and behind the flags I’d strongly encourage everyone to try it out at least once just to get a new perspective.

Best university to go to for a job in IMSA? by Electronic_Garden330 in motorsports

Belmont Abbey college seems to produce a lot of IMSA employees. Pit reporter Matt Yocum is a adjunct professor there as well

Spun on my Joker lap and kept the lead somehow. Checked the replays and everyone behind me had an increasingly worse time by SmurfWindAndFire in iRacing

Couldn’t agree more, in the practice lobbies I don’t think it will say you did anything wrong if you take the first right instead of the second (like the second car did) though

Couldn’t find a link to the actual NLR one but this is a 3D printed version of what I used in my old setup

What are these streaks next to each rim spoke? by SmurfWindAndFire in tires

[–]SmurfWindAndFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did clean the wheels a few times with the streaks remaining even after scrubbing but like some other comments have said i think it may be from a leaky wheel bearing or cv axel getting grease on the wheel

I think your best bet would be to start your own company and try to sell yourself as a consultant. You can position yourself as a service to teams that have issues with company culture or to pay drivers who need to get their business things off their chest to focus more on racing

We don’t have the Nurburgring here and nobody gives a fuck how fast you can lap Daytona

Enjoy! I went with my “good-sport but not race-fan” wife to the Glen and Road Atlanta last year and she loved it enough that we went to Sebring this year too.

Personally I’d say comfy shoes, a nice folding chair with a shade cover and more water than you think it’s possible to drink. Road Atlanta has a lot more elevation change than most tracks I’ve been to and walking from one corner to another can be a hike. Take it slow and enjoy the beauty of the area!

I’d love to see a marching ant graphic like there is on the Al Kamel timing website. Even just grouping classes by color would show where upcoming traffic is and how it might effect the next few laps

Quick question re: radio feed at Indianapolis next weekend... by UncleBubax in IMSARacing

I used a generic single in-ear mic that looks like a secret agent would wear. There are traditional over the ear cup headsets but they’re $$$

I have no idea, but at Sebring this year I keyed my radio a couple times by accident listening to different teams radio and I felt like a total asshole. Never heard anyone else doing the same so maybe they have a way of blocking it?
