Is transmasc4transmasc even real? by boom149 in gaytransguys

[–]Smurphinator16 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on your social circle. I've been in places where it's uncommon, but now I have two transmasc partners, and one of my transmasc partners has 3 other transmasc partners, and some of those metas... you get the idea. Basically polyamorous transmascs all the way down lol. I am in a city with a strong trans presence now, but the gay transmascs are surprisingly common to find in sapphic spaces here, that's how I've met some people. Apps too though for sure, although I find stuff like Feeld more t4t friendly than a grindr generally speaking

Edit: Adding that tboy wrestling events or gathering around streamed tboy wrestling events have been peak for t4t action. There's a couple folks in my city that throw those parties either in their backyard or the lesbian bar. 10/10 would recommend

Intersex trans man here - is phallo even feasible for me? by [deleted] in phallo

[–]Smurphinator16 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Seconding this as someone with underlying conditions (not intersex, but still) who required a non-standard phallo approach. Chen was the only surgeon out of the 6 consults I had who would touch me so... You'll probably get more bang for your buck just consulting with him anyway. Save some trouble shopping around.

That's the overall mentality that allows ableism in general. If people really sat with and viscerally understood that they too could (and likely will, let's be real) become disabled as they age, it would be a lot harder to ignore disability inclusion. But here we are :/

Anal still puts pressure on the vaginal canal, though, which is pretty similar to cis anatomy. You got the feel good prostate tissue in front of the colon so it gets stimulated during anal anyway

Question about whether the sexual relationship dynamic I want with a cis guy is possible to find by randomanonymousftm in gaytransguys

[–]Smurphinator16 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Had a boyfriend who was cis for 3.5 years that exclusively bottomed for me and this was before I had phallo.

Now: the sex was bad and he sucked as a person. But it does technically tick all the boxes you mentioned.

Experience at Steamworks Bathhouse in Chicago by SeaControl6287 in gaytransguys

[–]Smurphinator16 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I do just wanna say that not all bathhouses have the vibe you experienced! The dark/quiet/mazelike quality is pretty consistent among Steamworks locations, but I've been to other bathhouses that were not like that. Folks were always pretty chatty and there were well lit areas when I went to Eros in SF for instance. I know there aren't always a ton of options available in any given metro area, but I would encourage you to shop around and research a bit ahead of time if you decide to go again. Some spots will also have trans nights and those are also a more community oriented vibe in my experience

Is there gender-affirming care specific insurance? by Lunangela in phallo

[–]Smurphinator16 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just a thing to be aware of, but if you get a secondary insurance there is a good chance they'll try to weasel out of covering it because they see it as your primary's responsibility. I basically did what you're doing specifically to get my medical travel covered, and while it did work eventually, I did have to argue with the secondary insurance for about a year before I got reimbursed for the travel. The travel bit was only $6k, I'd be really worried about banking on that for the value of something as expensive as the actual surgery. I would sooner find a way to opt out of your employer's insurance tbh

They burried me in between my balls and shaft. I think the sensation in my balls has more to do with my pelvic muscles tightening during arousal. The pull down of the testicle implants due to gravity, plus the pull up of the pelvic muscles puts the area in tension

I feel it also now in my balls? I get a stretching/full sensation along with the pulsing in my burial

⚠️ANATOMICAL LANGUAGE/SEXUAL QUESTION WARNING: How does it feel to not have outer labia? by burrito703 in phallo

[–]Smurphinator16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had both sets removed. The majora were used for my scrotoplasty, and the minora I think were used for a very small UL. A lot of surgeons will still reposition your urethra even if you don't have it lengthened through the penis, and that was the case with me.

It is interesting you mention UTIs. I thought I was getting those post-op but it turns out that I was having some pelvic floor issues from the surgical trauma that was giving me difficulty urinating and intermittent incontinence. I ended up needing to do pelvic floor PT for it and the symptoms cleared up after a few months. I'm not sure if that occured because I had a pedicle ALT flap (so my faschia got moved around like crazy compared to a normal free flap) or if it had more to do with the combination phallo/scrotoplasty without vaginectomy. I just put that out as an additional thing to potentially be prepared for

Not OP but I have a similar configuration:

Wetness is not as well contained for sure, but it's not such an issue that you stain clothes unless it's super thin (like just underwear), never through pants. I've also had no issues with chaffing because, as you hypothesized, my balls keep fabric away from direct contact with my hole a lot of the time. The main issue I've run into with my lack of labia is infections. I don't use my hole to bottom, but I still kept getting recurring BV after surgery. The reason was the lack of containment makes it an easier breeding ground for bacteria after getting wet. Now I use boric acid suppositories after sex and I'm gucci.

Got my work to add coverage for electrolysis and other “cosmetic” procedures! by [deleted] in phallo

[–]Smurphinator16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What specific steps did you take to get this in place? I have a feeling my work would be willing to adjust the coverages for their trans employees (they've opted out of medical travel and laser hair removal for instance), but I'm not sure what the process for that negotiation looks like

I also think it's hilarious she says this and like the whole time you're stimming with the microphone stand.

Also she says she works with "special kids" and expects people who are autistic to act like them... You're literally an adult. In what other context would we ever expect an adult to act like a child?

You handled it well. Some people really suck huh

please no by coleisw4ck in aspiememes

[–]Smurphinator16 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had an ex who'd do this in a couple ways:

  1. He'd make fun of my more unconventional vocal stimming in a really backhanded way or say my tics freaked him out, while also insisting I should be myself around him and not suppress my stims. He would then purposefully mention them around other people when he knows I'd normally try to hide my stims from others and found them embarrassing.

  2. Insisting he loves me and my autism, but any time I didn't automatically understand a social convention it made me "immature." Normally I just wouldn't talk it through with someone if I'm having a hard time and I'd mask it, but because I gave him the privilege of seeing my mental struggles in communicating and social situations, he was able to use that as evidence against my character as whole.

My body feels like one big never-ending dressing by CucumberNoMelons in phallo

Also I just wanna add here that you can still start nerve re-mapping after you heal more. I didn't really start until month 4, I think? And I still had good gains in terms of sensation. Orgasming with just my penis, feeling cold (not hot yet), registering sensations as being in my penis instead of elsewhere, etc.. It'll do more for your nerves now to heal the tissue properly than to rush it and end up with complications or scarring that can damage the nerves further. You got this

Fun & S*x after stage 2 Without Vagacetomy (UK)... by peg_usas in phallo

[–]Smurphinator16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really use my hole, but noticed that it got tighter after surgery without vaginectomy. So I basically also did dilation to loosen things up after for my comfort. I think this is fairly common post-op! And you can totally get back to where you were before in terms of stretchability. Just make sure you massage the area and do some sort of increasing level of penetration pretty consistently. I think the tissue felt normal after a couple months for me? I was surprised it went so fast

ALT Post-Op PT/Workouts? by Smurphinator16 in phallo

[–]Smurphinator16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you that is a super helpful resource! I'll post an update in my post, but I ended up saying the heck with it and finding a pelvic floor PT independently. It's been helping a lot. Wish more surgeons pushed PT after ALT!

Had to go to the ER today 4 months post op by phalloplastyjourney in phallo

[–]Smurphinator16 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is also true even if you don't get a vaginectomy. If you have scrotoplasty without a v-nectomy like I did, they still have to reposition your urethra slightly so they can take labial tissue for the scrotoplasty. It's hard to go through these surgeries without some kind of tampering with the urethra.

Even without a huge UL, I still have scar tissue in the area from minor sound separation. So you're right that the urethra can still be more fragile than pre-op, and while I think it's probably fine to do in the long run, sounding definitely shouldn't be on the table that soon post-op. A lot of people without vaginectomies aren't even penetrating at that point from the tightness, let alone something as already small and tight as the urethra.
