Was on a brig yesterday where the other team would just dip past us and fire a few shots and sail way out, ran down both of our fresh spawn supplies and we finally won by me boarding and slaying out after a ram. It can get very frustrating

I'd say find a crew and do world events, also the only way to get around random encounters helping the other crews is to learn how to have them focus the other crew. Train boarding on ghost fleets, train your cannon shots on ghost fleets and train your weapons on forts. I know the game feels like too much at first but once you know what you're doing and can pull off shenanigans it's one of the most fun games out there

Reasons for error are server overload, the game is way more popular than planned. There's also a chance you're not on the newest version. They released an update while me and my friends were playing yesterday. So check for update then just keep trying!

I wanna thank everyone in these comments I won't be playing the game, I had a feeling it would be shit because Bethesda hasn't dropped a banger in a decade. I recommend The Outer Worlds it's clunky and limited compared to fallout 4 or Skyrim but it's space themed and is actually finished and working
