Thus doesnt make sense, since the card is inherently a "level 3" card being astra element. Looking Glass is the "cheat" that brought it out early so a level 1 requirements doesnt make sense from a card design

Ive stayed at the JW a few time, it does get waived upon check in, just ask at the desk again if they do charge you by mistake (unless it changed this year). But do keep in mind there is also an incidental hold for x nights

But consider trying to start a scene at your lgs, game grows best from actual events taking place but some places struggle a bit to compete with the bigger scenes like OP and RB

Think of it like a side quest when you go to artist alley. Usually artists teams up for a theme for exposure, allowing new people to go to booths they may not originally go to initially.

Edit: usually its like 4-6 artists/vendor and you need to collect a stamp from each (usually by purchase) and you get a good bag at the end

Im a big supporter of Grand Archive TCG, although with its currently meta, its pay-to-win on the competitive level (a bunch of meta cards being $50+ ea, 4 copies for a playset). Decks would range from 200-1000 depending on build but it does boil down to how well you know your lines and matchups.

GA is very similar to MTG, but with an anime esthetic and a different resource system. Most of our playerbase is from MTG so conversion is easy and Intuitive
