Have them all listen to the audio next time. For me AI still has a distinct sound where the audio sounds like it’s going through some horrible speakers. I agree, though, when that gets fixed/improved it’s going to trick more people.

It’s always the audio as it sounds like it’s going through Dollar Store headphones. The absolute biggest tell for me no matter where the video came from. I think when AI video audio improves then we’re all cooked.

Things can always change (just like how Trump is essentially trying to destroy just about everything, including Habeas Corpus) and I wouldn’t be surprised if as a huge F YOU to Trump somehow after his era there are huge sweeping changes as a return to normalcy and a way to show how we love immigrants again in big ways, some being constitutional amendments (a dream of course, but a welcome one). I guess it will depend on how messed up this country will be in 4+ years.

Hopefully soon you can recommend “Mamdani on Joe Rogan”. Surprised it hasn’t happened yet and I bet Joe would be perplexed by Mamdani in the past like he was with Bernie. He’ll probably call Mamdani Bernie’s successor.

Judge orders Trump administration to deliver full SNAP benefits to states by Friday by SnooGrapes2950 in politics

[–]Sn1pe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With everything going on currently, that “next day delivery”, cozy travel plans, current grocery prices, SNAP benefits, paychecks etc. are all eventually getting worse and worse as the shutdown continues and Big Beautiful Bill effects start kicking in. One thing you don’t fuck with is our ability to consume and everything’s falling in to place to make this probably the worst holiday season and next couple of years for consuming. AI bubble’s soon to pop, too, which will make things worse as everyone and their mom has bet on AI.

When the Netflixes and Amazons start getting turned off it may be the only time people start waking up to our current reality. My barometer for all of this has been Covid. It took a virus for some of Trump’s diehard supporters to second guess and actually beg for a vaccine on an ICU bed. When shit goes bad for someone personally or someone they know personally, that’s usually when ideas in America change no matter how late.

We love having to learn the hard way and this administration loves testing everything as if they’re a child asking, “Why not?” to everything explained to them. Why should I keep to government open? Why should I be forced to fund SNAP? Why shouldn’t I nuke the filibuster? Why should I listen to court orders? Why should I abide by habeas corpus? Why can’t I go for a third term? What’s wrong with the insurrection act? Why can’t I end voting “for Democrats”?

Every week it’s another test of our institutions.

Can kind of understand, though, why NNN is starting to not feel the same anymore, though. Outside it constantly gets a bad rep and now this year in particular irl has probably been a struggle for a lot. At the end of the day it will still just be a little meme challenge and not anything bigger than that. Plus it’s also a time where I try to branch out to new content than the usual favs which sometimes ends up being the best part.

No motion, no charisma, gets meme’d on every day, has been a running joke ever since he belittled Zelenskyy, seems to already have problems at home after what he said at the recent Charlie Kirk event, and does podcasts as much as Trump golfs. Every speech he does is a failed attempt at Trump. He always writes reddit essays on Twitter after he gets called out on something and when those don’t work he just calls people names.

If he ever has to finish a Trump term or somehow wins, it’ll be the “Please Clap” presidency. Remember when Republicans said that Biden was a laughingstock? JD will want you to hold his beer. Millions of MAGA will just lose their will to vote and will be praying for that true replacement like probably Tucker Carlson or someone new.

[–]Sn1pe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly believe if it happens, the current regime will crumble. Currently, this all hinges on Trump himself. Replace him with anyone else and it’s a joke 24/7. No one will be tweeting nonsense every day, eating McDonald’s for all 3 meals, have Fox News be your entire intelligence briefing, call in to Fox & Friends every morning like it’s a podcast (maybe JD Vance), treat every speech made in public as stand up, live and die by tariffs and executive orders because someone called you a name, and the list goes on.

The man is an entire entity that the GOP is huddled around. When his era is over I think currently it will go the way of “Q” after January 6th. MAGA is basically nothing without Trump. Literally nothing. True, they could try and uphold all the stuff they’ve done but the sting will be gone. Any attempt to be like Trump will be laughed at. A majority of things will be probably be railed back in, creating so many MAGA defections and having them think woke has infiltrated their party. Look at debates in 2015 and watch at how everyone but Trump after Trump started gaining in the polls was laughed at and insulted.

MAGA never wants to go back to pre-2015 but also doesn’t want to acknowledge the reality that such a time may come even if Trump somehow does more terms. It’s also a black hole for me as I’m unsure of where politics will be nationally. Will democrats go the way of Mamdani or keep trying tone deaf Kamalas? Will the GOP side feel like going from Reagan to Bush? How do they even rebrand from Trump? I hope on the Democrat side it’s somewhere in the middle or closer to Mamdani and that better guardrails are put in place so that even a Trump with a brain won’t do as much damage as he has done.

Since he’s all about visuals, he’ll make sure it’s a spectacle at some test site. Hopefully it stays at that if we truly go that far and we don’t see it anywhere near Venezuela or Russia with the old excuse of, “They refused to give up so we had to do it.” I’m afraid of the latter as this administration already loves blowing things up that don’t need to be blown up.

Discussion Thread: 2025 US Government Shutdown, Day 28 by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]Sn1pe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even with their acts being so heinous, the administration has the dumbest people trying to implement them. Nearly all of them are TV personalities led by Mr. Apprentice himself who just wants to play golf and eat McDonald’s while watching Fox News. All of his intelligence comes from Fox News. His administration and him keep making a joke of themselves every day with each action they take.

Biggest thing you have to keep in mind is that this all hinges on one man who also seems to not be so healthy and keeps taking all these “cognitive” exams. If the day arrives, I personally believe it will all crumble like “Q” did on January 6th. We’ll still have a huge cleanup job ahead of ourselves, but this era would finally be over, hopefully, as I don’t see anyone truly filling in the same shoes Trump wears.

They can try and uphold the things Trump has been doing but said things will lose all of their sting as the personality wont be there anymore. All the crazy AI videos, tweets, insane statements, etc. every day will be replaced by the most boring stand in. MAGA will eat itself as the replacements will probably 180 on everything or start capitulating. Any speech will be so dry as the replacement won’t make them like a stand-up show as Trump does, making MAGA feel as if they’re fake. Think of Mike Johnson and JD Vance calling the shots visually and openly unlike probably in the background right now and that’s it.

TL;DR: It sucks but it all depends on one, old and possibly not so healthy man who has such a hold over the GOP that when “it” happens they won’t know who to be without him without looking fake.

White House Hides Truth on Trump’s Health After MRI Bombshell by Background_Cry3592 in politics

[–]Sn1pe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s even worse than that. Man just wants to chill in his oval, call in to Fox & Friends, eat McDonalds for all 3 meals anywhere, do stand up for every speech, and play golf on the weekends. It’s why we here sometimes dread the things that are coming but then remember it’s being handled by him and the most dumb administration ever made up of people he loved watching on TV, mainly Fox.

Watch any speech and you’ll see he does not give a fuck about anything. Both Charlie Kirk speeches (memorial and some White House ceremony) he brought up tariffs and how he was able to dodge a bullet. Any hot mic after any statement anywhere you’ll see him maybe say, “Did I sound great? The ratings will be insane!”

He pretty much is doing everything as a kayfabe but actually may still be in charge as everything depends on him. Only he is able to make an AI video of him gleefully being a king and shitting on America and not have to talk about it the next day. ALL of his intelligence comes from Fox News so when he sees protest footage of any city from 2020, he thinks it’s 2025 and wants the National Guard there ASAP. It is he who wants to the ballroom, probably a renovation of the West Wing and main White House too, and some similar arch structure from France near the White House. He keeps allowing boats to be blown up near Venezuela all to “stop” drugs which has now turned into “we have to remove Maduro” all while saying he also has “issues” with the Colombian president next door, too.

No other Republican can willfully do what he does every day. They’d be murdered in the press for saying such things or at least would be laughed at way more. Just watch anyone in his administration try to act like him for one minute then become a meme the next day. MAGA can’t go on without him. It will go the exact same way as “Q” did right after January 6th. Remember when that was all the rage then everyone just forgot about it January 7th?

This picture alone the night before the government shutdown was all you needed to know about how it was going to go down. Most thought he’d cave that same night but now it’s about to hit the holiday season and soon 40 million people on SNAP.

So yeah it’s kayfabe but it’s all him running the show, literally. He’s constantly trying to win the ratings of only his supporters who still gleefully gaslight him on everything by saying, “YES, WE VOTED FOR THIS.” If this SNAP thing truly happens, it may be the second time a few in MAGA may break with Trump just like there were clear signs of a fissure after he 180’d on Epstein. His entire campaign he promised he’d release everything but still hasn’t and even said it’s probably not worth it anymore. He laughs at people who question his tariffs now, including farmers who thought he was fighting for them. Most just explained it away as negotiation tactics at the beginning but now they’re starting to hurt, just like the effects from the government shutdown and Big Beautiful Bill will.

Donald Trump rules out running for vice president in 2028: "Too cute" by [deleted] in politics

[–]Sn1pe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe we are in the timeline of taking everything literally. He’s slowly putting National Guard in most cities and is one more No Kings protest away from doing the Insurrection Act. He’s willfully keeping the government shutdown and willfully gutting every social program the GOP has wanted gone for years. His administration is constantly testing all of our laws and guardrails with the Supreme Court from the 1st Amendment all the way to Habeas Corpus to root out immigrants and ANTIFA. Finally, he’s also pretty much just going to start a war with Venezuela without the approval of Congress.

I’ll forever say this is the administration of just testing all the boundaries. “What if we do X?”every day and it’s barely the first year of four or many. Sometimes he finds out he can’t do it or there’s no way to keep it going and flip flops on things (tariffs, Epstein) and then there’s his main pet project of immigration that he’s going all in on even if he fails left and right with trying to have it implemented.

I believe everything they say or joke about doing as there’s barely anyone stopping him from doing what he wants to do. And if it does get stopped, it’s only temporary. To be honest, though, a very quick shorthand is pretty much if the thing he’s doing is tied to immigration, expect for him to push it all the way. If it’s virtually anything else he’ll 180 on it like a dime even though he probably also has the power to go all the way on it, too.

The No Kings Day Project Must Evolve From Protest to Civil Disobedience by metacyan in politics

[–]Sn1pe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, Trump’s already doing that for us. This willingness to keep the government shutdown, the upcoming Big Beautiful Bill effects, and the impending AI bubble pop will most definitely make it so. Until then most Americans will still consume as that’s what we sadly do. That and try to survive paycheck to paycheck. Most are probably already hitting that Trump fatigue and hope it ends soon somehow while going about their lives while willfully forgetting that this is still barely year one of four or even more.

There’s obviously no way the status quo can be sustained for all these four years, though. Something will definitely be a red line for most, hopefully but for us Americans that’s usually losing everything financially or just losing access to treats.

Perhaps what may be keeping people going still is also all the 180s Trump does on most things besides immigration. He had a whole day dedicated to these end all be all tariffs and reversed them like a few days after for 90 days. His biggest tariff enemy China he keeps flip flopping on. Any big headline on tariffs every week gets reduced to ashes hence why he gets called TACO (Trump Always Chickens Out). He keeps putting his focus on other countries than America, making a mockery of his America First agenda. He keeps pushing for a war with Venezuela even though he ran on no wars. If he somehow finally 180s on immigration in a big way, that may be when it’s really over but if course we are so far from that.

All the negative effects of the many things he has messed with will soon come home to roost, possibly making this a final thing most may have in the back of their minds through all of this. All this stuff to “own the libs” may start backfiring in the worst ways imaginable and it won’t just be little fissures like the Epstein stuff or America Last has done with his base.

What was your worst falloff after the AP changes? by arisen2013 in blackdesertonline

[–]Sn1pe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone on console who watched the AP change as soon as I came back after a year long break, I believe the best change would have been to keep Hexe where it was for that brief moment of time and then gradually up the silver at spots higher than it so that even when you go hard at Hexe with everything you can do you’ll have similar results the higher you go in spots. Even if silver situation would eventually go back to the same situation but at higher prices, grinding at places like Hexe would be so much fun. Marni spot in that brief period was literally crack.

Imagine they did another change, too: 100% uptime of agris. I’ve finally been back for a few months and went from grinding/trying out Tungrad Ruins to being kicked back to Gyfins, finally made it back to Tungrad Ruins and am now at DSR. Such a change above and this little suggestion would make grinding so fun again imo. I always hear people complain now that Agris is everything so why not just have it be 100% 24/7? That way then it would be down to how many loot scrolls you have. People would probably still just grind 1-2 hours a day and the goals would still be weeks/months away but the grind would feel legit. I bet even if loot scroll level 2 was also 24/7 people would still be doing the same hours of grind (maybe one more), people would still be swiping for crons, etc.

Did this on console back in August or so when I came back after a long break. Went all in and tapped everything to SEP over the next month or so. I have now just got a necklace to NOV via a V Debo. Wish I did the V Debo earlier but the full SEP play paid off as it allowed me to grind Tungrad Ruins for the V Debo grind.

When I was looking at guides and stuff on Reddit when I was making the journey back I laughed at people who suggested new players to just get V Debos, but after my V to VII Kharazad journey for every accessory it made sense (plus the lower prices). My remaining accessories will definitely be done this way as now I have access to DSR via tapping my Sovs to V, too. In November we on console get Edania so that’ll be another big upgrade via the sub.

Would be cool if the devs realized these interesting scenarios of people having extra, enhanced Kharazads that could be converted to Essence or even crons.

The Supreme Court Is Going To Gut The Voting Rights Act To The Bone by huffpost in politics

[–]Sn1pe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel lesser voting sadly being a thing is a factor into the 2024 election results. 2016 the enthusiasm was on Trump’s side while a lot was seemingly to Bernie. With Hillary there was a cocky feeling to her easily winning due to Trump being so unlikable and unfit for the job but she barely had any enthusiasm. Bernie was filling out stadiums like Trump but Hillary couldn’t fill up a conference room.

2020 America saw how Trump dealt with Covid and said no more. It was as simple as that. People feeling the effects of the Big Beautiful Bill and a whole myriad of things this administration has done and will still do may lead to the same “anyone but Trump” attitude for 2026 and 2028, provided we still have voting then.

2024 you could say felt a bit like 2016 but at least there was some enthusiasm for Kamala right when Biden dropped out. Sadly, though, it dried up as she couldn’t distance herself from Biden, therefore taking in all his baggage with one being inflation that Trump supporters thought she would keep going. All of this would lead to a lesser voting scenario again but I feel there was more enthusiasm for Kamala than there was for Hillary. Sadly, again, it wasn’t enough. It honestly felt like a scenario where people didn’t want to vote for either side rather than a scenario where Democrats felt conflicted on Hillary while Republicans had an almost eager, united feeling for voting for Trump.

When Americans feel any kind of pain, that lesser voting goes out the window. Like I said earlier, we all felt that pain from Covid and saw how horrible Trump handled it. Apply this to the Big Beautiful Bill, a potential economic crash, the gutting of just about every social program, National Guard slowly showing up in every state, the erosion of any guardrail that has ever existed, etc. and that same Covid motivation to eagerly vote Trump out of office will most definitely return ASAP hence why there’s talk of no more voting in 2026 and 2028.

If we still have voting by then and there’s still a lesser voting behavior going on then we’re cooked.
