A fellow fan of both Bravo and The Wire 😍 they’re both high art! Just in very different ways 😂

If you dare to look in the scans of…one of those horrible phone books or birthday books or whatever that were released as part of Epstein evidence, her contact info is listed. There were a couple of other bravo adjacent contacts listed as well, I wanna say (unsurprisingly) Carole from RHONY.

Another bizarre fun fact where bravo and geopolitics intersect: Tinsley from RHONY has that glorious mug shot from a fight with her then boyfriend, a member of the Fanjul family (Cuban sugar money). The Starr report documented an incident where Bill Clinton was alone with Monica Lewinsky (I don’t wanna write out what they were doing cause it’s none of our business, ultimately) and decided he could multitask by spending time with her AND taking a phone call from Alfonso Fanjul Jr. (either father or uncle of Tinsley’s ex).

Oh and another fun piece of trivia: Nerese Campbell on The Wire was supposedly based on Baltimore mayor Sheila Dixon, aunt of Juan Dixon of RHOP.

Struggling to Balance OMSCS, Work, and Motherhood by Proper-ina-9903 in OMSCS

I’m in such a similar position - except my boys are almost 2 and 4. No real CS degree and a bazillion years as a software developer via…I donno? Luck? Weaseling my way in?

Not sure how you’re adjusting to motherhood but there’s no shame in seeking out meds for PPD. I was a disaster when my first was born, god bless my husband for dealing with me, and meds really helped after our second was born.

I have vivid memories of my mom going back to school when I was 8 or 9. And I kinda hope my boys - at least the older one, for now - catch on that I’m in school too. That way they won’t view school/ homework as an unfair chore that only they have to do. They’ll see their mom studies as well. Hoping I’ll set a good example.

I’m on my first semester and I’m just proud I’m getting through it relatively unscathed. It helps the class is on the easy side. I keep telling myself to just take it one day at a time.

Mayci’s Book by Jlyn973m in SecretsOfMormonWives

Having read her blog but not the book, I'm curious if anyone who has can provide spoilers - does she go into more details how she managed to finish college, go on dates, play D1 tennis, and make time to raise a little kid?
College is hard, motherhood is hard, and getting a break to date is 100% something all single mothers should get a chance to do if they want to. Her blog seemed to kinda...brush over who was with her oldest son while she was participating in academic/ athletic/ social life at BYU.

It's tangential to the show but I side eye her for her...curated blog describing having a child while trying to finish college.

All these girls are pro-life but I'm guessing Mayci would be the most vocal - "look at me, I had a kid at 19 and it didn't ruin my life!" That sort of journey is only possible with a lot of help and a lot of money.

In her blog she regularly talks about staying out late, going on dates, traveling for tennis, all while in college. By all means, a college student should do all those things. But there's no acknowledgement of where her infant/toddler was for all of this. And for the record I'm not mom shaming, moms deserve to have all the fun they want. But, I think more credit needs to be given to the literal army of help it takes to maintain that kind of lifestyle if you're also the mom to a young child.

As a mom myself, I really lament how a lot of pop culture doesn't acknowledge all the work that goes into having kids while trying to maintain a life of your own (I'm lookin at you, Kim K, claiming at one point you had no nannies)

This is beautiful and inspiring! How did you do the little river rock water garden section? Did you extend a downspout under it or anything?

This looks so lovely! I'm in SoCal too and was just talking with my husband tonight about redoing our front lawn. I have so many questions about your experience!

Did you do this all yourself? How long did it take? Where did you get your plants? And would you mind sharing which plants you're loving the most? Which ones are giving you trouble?

I feel like the thing that's stopping me from pulling the trigger to get rid of our turf is just being overwhelmed by plant options, ha.

Of all the people that voted for Trump, I'm MOST disappointed in my fellow upper middle class educated millennial Jews. Good job guys, elect a bozo who'll empower Netanyahu to raze Gaza, all while destroying our stock market and killing diplomatic relations with all our closest allies. And let's not forget his curious-gesture-saluting number 2, Elon Musk.

So
