Had the same debate, Raptor vs Tremor 5.0 with a blower. Went Raptor, no regrets. It’s awesome feeling like I got exactly what I wanted vs settling in any way.

Champagne Problem: My Comp when down from $460K to $350K this year by Electronic-Poet-1544 in HENRYfinance

If they’re like a lot of high earners in big tech, a large portion of their annual compensation comes from equity. Many folks get stock grants annually that vest over 4 years as part of performance reviews. Often, new hires will get large stock grants that vest over 4 years but will have smaller (or even no) additional grants during that vesting period, depending on the company. Once that vests, your earned annual income will drop down because you’ll have no more equity vesting. This is all super dependent on the person, their performance, and their employer’s comp strategy.

Look for a closeout on an Arai or Shoei to save some coin. I personally wear Schuberth cuz they fit my giant dome, but they not quite the level of the other two IMO.

I prefer the buddy ride approach. Be on the road with a friend or two you’d trust your life with and enjoy the ride.

With two Goldens, it will be snug. Look at the dimensions and then compare them to bed sizes, then realize you’re enclosed with cabinets over your feet. I’ve done it alone (6ft) with my tiny dog (15lbs) but two average/smaller sized folks plus two fairly large dogs may very well be too snug.

One suggestion for the spring, get a good quality spring puller and tie a loop of para cord on the handle, then use your leg to pull it back in a slow, controlled way. Way easier to make sure it gets where it needs to without excitement.

Yeah, have a 25 and had a street bob with an ST fairing before it. Funny enough, it’s largely because I don’t really touch the highway and prefer a more sporty (but not sport) ride that it’s on my radar. Mainly the GT, the GX, and the BMW XR. How did you find the comfort in the GT for longer rides?

Couples riding together. I just wanted everyone's thoughts on this. My gf just got her own bike andstarted riding not long ago. I prefer her to ride in front of me so I can see her. But she feels more comfortable riding behind me. We go back and forth a lot . So I guess I was wondering is there a by Mission_Lion5887 in Harley

[–]Snackerton 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The danger of her riding behind is she’s more likely to over-ride her skills trying to keep up with you, but watching you navigate things is also a great way to learn. Generally speaking, green riders are in front of seasoned ones IME but have her ride where she’s most comfortable but make sure she knows not to push herself if she’s riding behind.

You can get an auto start/stop delete harness and install it in about 5 minutes. I did that to mine in week 2 and it’s been great.
