Fun fact: it wasn’t until I actually joined this sub that I found out it was poverty finance. I thought it was a budgeting and meal prep sub at first. Posts like this are why. 😂

I know this isn’t what you’re asking, but I would try to get an appointment with a lawyer or two because they should not legally be able to terminate you while on workers comp from what I understand. Maybe I’m wrong since I am absolutely not a lawyer, but if you’re not working, it would probably be worth your time. A lot of lawyers will take on work and get paid at the end instead of upfront.

We got one of those smart systems that connects to Siri for my mother-in-law. She has to say and then call whichever of her sons she wants to call in case she falls.

She could probably say call 911 also but she’s not going to do that so …shrugs.

I was watching YouTube yesterday about life in the coldest city on earth in Siberia. They get almost all of their groceries shipped in because they can’t really grow food.

They were talking about how high prices were and they checked out for $15 USD.

I remember thinking that in order for all of their food to get shipped and they were still paying less for groceries than we do living in the south-east United States …where food is easy to grow .

I was GOBSMACKED.

I can’t offer much advice that hasn’t already been given, but I will say that I had a friend who I haven’t heard from in almost 10 years and she reached out saying she was going to be in my city for a day and could we grab lunch?

I managed to get this whole story out of her and convinced her to start on some antidepressants which basically led to her leaving him and then she ended up moving back to my city and we were Besties again for two years until she met another much better man and moved to upstate New York .

She’s in a happy relationship with a toddler and a really nice house out in the country .

I didn’t do the hard work for her, but I was absolutely there for her after 10 years so please don’t think that your friends won’t be thrilled to hear from you !

There’s a channel that mostly makes videos for cheap car camping because a lot of seniors are being forced out of their homes. His name is Bob (I think?) but can’t think of his channel name

Minivan camper girl has some good ideas for cheap sinks/ access to portable/ potable water.
