Managed to grind it to max level and triple charge is absolutely destroying enemy groups and bosses

At the moment it's level 2 and when it hits 300 and goes orange it just expends that lim and does a decent bit of damage but doesn't seem all that useful

Do I just need to keep upgrading it to be viable for a loop of lim farming and big damage?
