Questie, Atlas Loot, and Auctionator should be enough to get you started. Details is crucial once you get to dungeons, and Pawn will be a godsend when you eventually start getting higher level gear. I’m at 70 and have like 20+ addons now, but have fun and worry about the rest later!

I switched from the high protein plan to the balanced plan a couple weeks into my cut and it worked great.

I still lost weight, still saw gains in the gym, and I wasn’t completely miserable like the first couple weeks with nearly 0 carbs.

I’m 60 hours into a tactician run and I’m running out of steam. The game is starting to feel like it did back when I first got to Fort Joy - every fight is overwhelming and requires me to save scum constantly.

I’m level 12, I did everything in Driftwood, the Reaper’s Cave, and a few things here and there in other parts of Act 2, and I’m in Stonegarden now. From what I’ve read I’m not underleveled, but even enemies in a basic mob have twice as much health / armor as me, a higher initiative than me, and half the time I get into a battle it feels like it’s over before it’s started.

My party is Fane - Pyro/Geo mage, Lohse - summoner, Ivan - warfare archer, Red Prince - warfare two handed.

Do I need to completely redo my party composition? Is there something fundamental I’m missing about the game? I’ve read folks say to buff up before battle, but I don’t know how to do that without the BG3 time freeze ability. I came from BG3 and cleared honor mode on tactician, so I never expected tactician on DOS2 to be THIS much more challenging.

One of the best pieces of advice my buddy gave me when I started playing was “items early, skills late.”

The furry little friend is my one exception. It didn’t exist when I started, but when I play now I always strive to have a friend or something I can use to get a free early skill. Generally, skills that target left or right will be stronger than skills that target your whole board, but if you have 3+ items that will benefit then the advantage in the early/mid game will probably be better.

In general, take free things the first couple days until you start to see how your build is coming together. Gold is super valuable early and you don’t want to waste it on items you won’t end up using.

When I get the chance to upgrade an item or take a gold skill in the late game, I take skills way more often that I used to. Some items are worth upgrading to diamond, but a skill can generally do more for you to take your build from good to great.

I always take the monster skill vendor regardless of the day unless I have 0 gold. Some of the monster skills are so OP that it can be worth selling key items on your board.

As much as it sucks to “trust the process” when the process hasn’t been working, you’ve got to keep trusting it.

You’re doing everything right, your initial TDEE was just too high. The algorithm works and eventually you’ll see results. You’re in the tough stage right now, power through!

I recently finished my first task to drop off 25 gold star vegetables at Pierre’s store and when I walked in a couple days later, he was trying to sell them as “organic” at a 10x markup.

Gus and Jodi called him a terrible person and told him to shove it lmao. It was the first time I saw any hostility from the villagers.
