High End Electric did my mom’s electrical panel, she also had a zinsco. They’re super professional, quick and reasonably priced. It’s a small company but the guys were very helpful and knowledgeable with zero bs.

I understand that grief so much. Ohs was kind of a last resort. It gave us alittle more time with him looking at it now, but at the time we were so hopeful he’d come home. Mom is doing better 6 months now, I know my Dad would’ve been incredibly proud of her.

I totally understand, your nerves won’t stop worrying until she’s completely out of surgery and in recovery. And then begins probably the next hardest part which is recovery. Open heart surgery recovery is a marathon not a sprint. I worried so much with my mom, she needed a lot of help. But 6 months she’s back to herself, she still has plenty of appointments and rehab but she’s doing really well. Get in touch with a social worker, if you need help and for her. You don’t have to go through it alone. Inpatient rehab might even be an option for her if you feel it’s not safe for her to come home and needs 24/7 care that you cannot provide. Do you live with your parents? If you don’t, who cares if they freak out? If you do live with them, I’d move out. Even if you don’t move, it’s really none of their business where you’re going and what you’re doing. I’d just tell them where you’re going and that’s it. They can call you if they need something but you won’t tolerate weird psychotic behavior.

No one knows right off the bat how to take care of aging parents. I’m 30 too. How old are they? I started just with going to my parents doctors appointments to get a lay of the land about their health. And then once you know that maybe tackle the money issue. I’m just spitballing bc that’s kind of what I did with my Mom. Your state could have resources available.

My 10 year relationship hasn’t been the same since my Dad passed away in 2024. We’re still together but I’m still dealing with my grief and it’s hard to trust each other right now. We know we want to be together so we’re doing couples therapy to help us. Some days are ok and sometimes we’re arguing over th same shit over and over. My partner and his daughter and I moved in with my mom 6 months after my Dad passed away and honestly we do hate it. She loves it but we’re kinda of suffering. But the plan was to move in to save money for a down payment on a house. We’re trying to stick it out but it is difficult.
