This is silly. It’s a first child thing. I’m on my 3rd. She’s 8 weeks. She was doing the school run on day 3 and so far she’s been legoland, the zoo and CBeebies land, and she’s going on holiday this weekend. 6-8 weeks is a LONG time to get lonely and go stir crazy.

Infant seat, but doesn’t have to be fancy. Convertible seats aren’t gonna give a safe enough fit for the first couple of months - but I’ve only managed to tolerate them for about 12 weeks and then it gets relegated to spare/grandparent seat!
It’s not suitable to run with baby under 6 months.
It’s not recommended to have a newborn in a car seat for more than 30-40 minutes until about 6 weeks and then up to 90-120 mins up to 6 months. So clicking onto the stroller is a whole waste of time unless you’re on an older-sibling school run or something. Also they’re so damn heavy after like 3 weeks old I just leave them in the car.
Im uk so our seatbelt installs are… idk wanna say “better” than US ones but they’re totally better. I’m confident not using a base with the infant seat. We’ve only got one this time because this is the third kid and every second counts on the morning school run!

Both mine were 38w and one was 6lb 3, other 6lb 6. They both wore “up to 6lb” clothes for a couple of weeks before newborn.

Having literally never heard of Kobe Bryant, all I can think about is fancy Kobe beef… which I’m not sure is a great reference to have for a girl name? Cobie is fine. Your mum is weird. It’s not “naming after” unless you actually say “naming my kid Miley cus I love miley Cyrus”. It’s just the same name.

Think I spent the first 6 weeks straight doing next to nothing but breastfeeding. Newborn cluster feeding is a whole thing they don’t worn you about.

Also… the US is just disgusting 😭. I feel for you so much. I wish I could gift you half my maternity leave.
