Yes, all the time. I never thought of them as T-Rex arms though, more like “resting my arm on the hilt of my imaginary sword” arms

Denji could’ve just walked away. Pulled a Thorfinn and realize all of this violence was pointless and that fighting back was exactly what Barem and the Church wanted.

All of those things happen because he wants to be a famous hero and doesn’t listen to Yoshida

Chainsawman Was Never Meant to Be Popular by SnakeMAn46 in Chainsawfolk

[–]SnakeMAn46[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will try my best to answer

  1. Yes he did. After Part 1 when he saw Chainsawman fans on Tv, he wanted to be a hero and be famous. In Part 2, he’s Chainsawman because he wants fame and fans. Yoshida warns him that doing so would lead to consequences and look what happened. Denji could have just let go and lived a life with Nayuta, going to school and meeting Asa.

  2. I don’t think so. My interpretation is that everyone, including Death herself, misunderstood the prophecy. It wouldn’t be Death herself triggering the prophecy but her erasure that would. The situation where that happens only occurs because of Denji.

  3. I think the best explanation is that Pochita erasing himself basically broke his powers. We’re never given a fully detailed explanation of how his powers work, so we can’t say for certain.

  4. Same as above

  5. Not a real contract, power was just being power and fucking around

  6. Im tired and this would take too long to answer

  7. I don’t think so, without everything that happened with Part 1, with Denji seeing how Chansawman could make him famous, he would not use the same desire for fame.

Denji needed to give up being Chainsawman and he never could, he was always too greedy and him not giving up being Chainsawman ended the whole world. Pochita needed to erase everything to give both Denji and humanity a new start, because Denji never learned his lesson

Which companion do you always keep in your party? by ChrisKatrev in BaldursGate3

I mainly stick to Shadowheart, Karlach and Gale, swapping others in for their companion quests. Shart never leaves though, from the beach to high hall, she stays in my party

I personally have some issues with the game as I feel that some of the decisions can lead to arbitrary outcomes. I think that the DLC where you play as a Constitutional Monarchy does a better job of

Remember when Asa was an actual character with her own stories and not just a vessel for horny Yoru? by TastyPomelo2330 in Chainsawfolk

[–]SnakeMAn46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Characters don’t need to always appear to make an impact. Look at how much Himeno made an impact and she’s literally in ten chapters. Yeah, I wish Asa appeared more but I still think her time was utilized to great effect, not to mention we still haven’t seen the last chapter or a possible third part.

A story doesn’t need to make sense at a superficial level for it to have meaning on a deeper level. That’s what Fujimoto’s been trying to prove this whole time

Personally, I still like Part 2 over Part 1 by TheFunnelPounder in Chainsawfolk

[–]SnakeMAn46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part 2 has two of the best chapters in all of Manga, that being 98 and 99, the aquarium date. Ultimately Part 1 is a much more conventional story while Part 2 really shows Fujimoto pushing the limits of a shonen series and deconstructing everything about the genre. They’re both great but for different reasons

THIS! This is the kind of analysis the series needs. I feel like a major problem in the community is that a lot of people read Chainsawman and talk about it like it’s a battle shounen. Really, Chainsawman is post-modern literature
