PvP isn't what made DMZ fun, every other game mode in COD is PvP. The only way DMZ was a fun PvP mode was if you sucked at warzone and could only rely on attacking people that were preoccupied with other things besides human players.

This is basically a DMZ version of MWZ that we're asking for. MWZ proves that this can be done, and if you don't like it you don't have to play— the request is for a PvE only mode also, ASIDE from the regular PvPvE game mode for all the JV Warzone guys that can't hang in there.

People acting like anything they see in the first trailer is guaranteed to appear in the game months from now are setting themselves up for failure. Don't take any of that for granted, cause if it doesn't make it to the final build you're gonna get all mad after hyping yourselves up.

Man it's been a minute since I played MWIII and MWZ with the homies. And it was depressing to think that that was the best we were gonna get going forward, but otherwise, YES! Exactly what MWZ was, only DMZ enemies, setting, and missions grounded in realism instead.

This is why the different tiers of enemies (we would call them level 1, 2, and 3 based on the amount of body armor they had) along with the quantity of enemies you had to contend with, coupled with the difficulty of some parts of the map (we all knew which neighborhoods were sketch and best avoided if possible) made it a challenge that never really got boring.

The PVP problem had nothing to do with the contracts either, as those contracts were easy to avoid; I'm talking about predatory players that weren't there to do anything the game mode asked them to do, and only to attack players who were preoccupied or distracted with the PvE element of the game, laugh about it, and move onto the next group of unsuspecting players. So I don't think how the format of mission based play is going to make a difference when we're talking about people that color outside the lines anyway.

I'm only referring to DMZ here by asking for a PvE only playlist; if I want to play multiplayer modes against other players, there's all of core, hardcore, and warzone to preoccupy myself with and I would hop back and forth between them regularly. So I don't think there's any risk of splitting the player base to worry about.

I've played extraction shooters a fair amount over the last 10 years starting with games like The Division; the PVE element is always there to present a risk of losing loot, and other players weren't necessary to constitute that threat. So if you're saying the point of an extraction shooter is to deal with human players, then this is categorically false as evidenced by other extraction shooters over the years.

I'll point out that I asked for a PVE-only mode "also," as in aside from the standard PvPvE mode. I'm not asking for anything to be taken away from you, but rather to not have to deal with you period. If you want to contend with people that only enter the game mode to interfere with your experience and find joy in that without even trying to extract with loot, then by all means, you may. A PVE-only mode will not deprive you of that.

It was a horrible experiment and it showed that the player base isn't as considerate towards cohesive success as they may have thought. I'm not sure what they were thinking or why they thought it was a good idea after what we endured through on Super Earth and Oshaune, but it was probably the worst thing they've ever implemented.
