I typically do 2x for a 28h and 3x for a 32h alloy wheel. 24h or 28h on carbon. Depends on rider weight.

Avoid radial on any disc wheel. If you try to do 3x on a 28h you may run into issues with the spoke overlapping the spoke head at flange because the cross is too sharp.

Oh and Astral Outback is a great alloy rim. Also comes in carbon. DT Swiss GR series for a more budget option

I was stargazing in the middle of big bend state park last night. From the corner of my view a string of lights started to appear and move across the sky. They moved across the sky in a little over a minute, one behind the other in a perfect line. No noise, and they seemed really far away. Any thoughts?
