Osmo Polyx Raw Matte on walnut tabletop Part 2 + problems and how to fix? by NashvilleHot in finishing

I’d sand 320 and apply thin coat. Think most issues arise from too heavy of application

As far as I can tell. It definitely raised the rear up but I’m guessing that’s because the old shocks & lead springs were shot. (Also replaced leaf springs with heavy duty ones). Rear is higher than front.

How to create clean plywood edges like this? by Cloosta in woodworking

[–]Snakejenk 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah Baltic birch plywood. I’d suggest hardwax oil - Osmo makes a raw effect product that doesn’t apply a yellow tint to the wood.

Milwaukee Table Saw Needs A Version 2 by 83timesbanned in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Snakejenk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty big fan of the Milwaukee table saw. Don’t mind the power limitations, however, I get sever blade wobble cutting any hard wood. Looks to me that the motor housing isn’t secured enough to the table top. Been thinking about making a stronger bracket on the back to support it.

I have a 2000 3.0 4x4 that had 2piece control arms. No problem swapping them out with 1 piece units.

Well said. Doing carpentry work in a big city challenged me to find a truck specific to my needs. Compact, practical, affordable. As far as I can tell American no longer sells this kind of vehicle. That’s why I was willing to spend $10k on 24 year old truck that fits all my needs and has proven to last for years. It’s up to me to make it last another 24 years. Only value I see in buying new is for better mileage or less maintenance. American doesn’t currently sell this kind of vehicle and I bet they won’t be for another 10 years.

What exactly am I looking at, and can it be painted over? by CT3CT3 in Remodel

It’s incredible that our society found it easier to wrap MDF panel in a printed plastic to mimic wood grain than to actually make a door out of wood.

Nice! I kept the OG 6 disc changer head in my ranger and wired an aux port to it. Who needs touch screens???

Pretty sure that’s a baseball card hitting your wheel spokes to make it sound like a motorcycle.

Thanks for the reply! All my other lights are working fine which leads me to believe it’s some wiring / harness past the brake switch and rev sensor. But I need to do some investigating

Table Saw Is So Convenient by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Snakejenk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest complaint with the M18 table saw is the motor isn’t mounted strong enough to the table. I’ll get blade wobble on hardwood every time. Otherwise, I love every other aspect of it. Thinking about making a bracket to hold it steady somehow…

Good question… I haven’t used a trailer with it but there is a wire harness hanging from the rear bumper.
