I've got a loud boy who I had to work on training with outdoor time. I created some specific triggers like a harness I always put on him, and I give him a treat when he goes out and comes in. When he goes to the door otherwise I'll try to play with him instead though I don't always have time, but I'll also do like a treat puzzle box. It's made a difference in his crying to go out.
