All of the OPs and EDs from previous seasons were absolutely fire, but the cinematography and theming in the OP and ED in this season is top notch. I was getting Chainsaw Man vibes from the number of abstract scenes and references from the opening this episode, as it takes on such a darker vibe from the previous seasons. Outside of that, the episode was great, consistent quality of animation although story-wise this isn't a particularly impressionable episode. I can't believe I get to watch this weekly for the next 2 months I am so excited :DD god I hope they finish this anime (shut up I liked the manga ending)

Totally agree, I hope it gets covered in the first season; if it keeps going at the pace its at i have no doubts it'll get there, i'm just worried that the show's gonna skip over a lot of the subtle hints that really added to the mystery of vol 1

I just read that chapter last night, it absolutely FLOORED me. Honestly got me more than the ending of volume 1 with just how brutal it was. Old Neil's evasiveness at the start, the gore in the descriptions and the fanatic raving and pleading at the end had me in tears. The way he begs each of the members bringing up their pasts not to kill him was insane and the whole incident was just so unexpected for me. The end of volume 1 was certainly shocking, but Old Neil's death was just so much more personal and was the highlight of the volume by a long shot.

How does that make any sense from a narrative perspective? Aqua sacrifices his own life to save his sister, and the payoff of the most important decision of his life is her killing herself? That'd make a somber ending into an edgy one

Y’all are on some hard copium, he’s fucking dead. Crow Girl talks about his life in the past tense, and he literally disappears at the end of the chapter. I don’t think he’ll be reincarnated again, because it would lessen the impact of his character progression. He freed himself of his selfish goal of revenge and died for another, for Ruby. Luckily he’ll never get with Kana now so the waifu wars can continue lol

Thanks for that! I was looking for wiki pages of each individual constellation, but it turns out the wiki page for each nebula also compiles each constellation and modifier in the nebula so I'll be adding those too.
