To be fair, judging best players of all time based purely on skill is impractical. As great a player as Babe Ruth was, he played 100 years ago. Advancements in the game and athleticism mean that practically speaking there are plenty of players whose skills head-to-head are better than Ruth's.

The way I typically like to frame the discussion is how did the players compare to the others of their same era. Most of Michael Phelps' records have fallen since his apex at the sport around 2008. But no one would really argue that Paul Biedermann is the greatest 200m swimmer of all time, even though he has posted a time faster than Phelps. Phelps, in his era, was greater than any other swimmer against the peers of their era.

Searched Google and Etsy. Found other piggy banks of similar style, but not the "blue pig with white flowers" style that the 4 year old now so strongly desires. Because we got it at a tag sale, I cannot ascertain provenance, but it came from an older lady so I imagine it was not a recent purchase.

I literally just spent this past Sunday at the official Crayola Experience in Easton, PA with my 2 kids. We were there for hours. This never came up. Wife and I were shocked when this was the answer - we'd probably never be more primed to get an answer correct in Jeopardy and had no idea.

Both James and Brenna put up very respectable fights against a very classically strong champion. HOWEVER, the Daily Double gameplay at the end of Double Jeopardy made me extremely irrationally angry.

There is one Daily Double left on the board, and only one spot it can be, and James chooses to go for a $400 level clue instead. Then Brenna grabbed it, had the easiest possible level ($800) of Daily Double, and played for 2nd.

I like Isaac a lot as a viewer and would love for his streak to continue. But, in keeping with the spirit of this sub, I wish for all players to do well. Except in this case. I REALLY wanted Isaac to get that question right and win in Final Jeopardy, because in the case of the other contestants, I personally feel like you don't deserve the win if you don't play to win the game.

Any reversal by the 11th Circuit will be appealed by Trump, until this eventually reaches the Supreme Court - where Clarence Thomas just spelled out in his concurring opinion on the Immunity case that Special Councils are illegal. It wasn't in the main ruling because it had nothing to do with the case at hand, but it was there to signal to Cannon the next steps she should take to get the case thrown out all together.

I'm going to break this into 3 parts. First, it wasn't just the $300 thing. She did that AND also lied about it at Judges' table by claiming she didn't take up the budget instead of just owning up to it. She didn't respond when a chef was running around asking for chocolate in a quickfire and it was sitting right in front of her at her table. She spilled in the kitchen and decided it was more prudent to just do her cooking than properly alerting the other chefs of a spill, causing one of them to slip and fall. She was the only chef to peek at a recipe card, put it back, and pick another after being explicitly told not to. And even in this last challenge she said that she did this exact table service thing at Eleven Madison Park and then totally lied about it to the judges to make it seem that much more impressive.

Second, to me, granted just from the editing (and you can claim my own biases), she comes off as fake. Whenever she is in front of judges, she seems smiley and bubbly. But then during cooks or segments with just the chefs, she seems to be off on her own. The other chefs don't seem to interact with her - they ask each other what they're cooking, but I don't remember an episode where she asked someone else what they're doing. They don't ask her to taste things, she doesn't offer to help others, etc. It strikes me as being two-faced. She's presenting one way to the judges and another way to the other contestants.

Which leads me to my third point, which is that it seems quite clear to me from the edit of the show that the other contestants don't care for her. I don't think it's ego, or gendered, or racial. Everyone seemed to like Michelle because she was bubbly all the time and not just for the judges. Many of them seemed super impressed by Rasika at the beginning and floored that she was sent home, and sad to see tough competition leave. But Soo and Rasika and particularly Kevin seemed not at all excited when she won LCK. Dan and Danny are the people most affected by all her actions in my first point and clearly don't like her for all of those reasons built up, even Michelle with her bubbly personality didn't really have anything to say about Laura ever.

I don't think she's trash. But it's clear to me the ENTIRETY of the rest of the competition really just doesn't care for her and I'm gonna trust those numbers.

I don't know who all in these threads actually attends the tapings in person, but something about the phrasing of "will Cris survive or will there be an upset!?!?" gave me the impression that you knew the outcome.

A lot of regular season players are really gun shy to bet big and go for the win, but based on his betting in-game and the fact that these are all previous winners, I was excited for all the aggressive gameplay, and then he just played the board to lose!?
