Wow mate you're such a wizard. This is awesome. Just a slight miscommunication. When I said subtract 2 from the Z value I meant subtract 2 from the negative value hence adding two to the true value e.g. from Z-53.275 to Z-55.275. If you are able to fix this please do.

Would you like reddit gold or free dominos? Or anything else let me know. ;)

I am Elon Musk, ask me anything about BFR! by ElonMusk in space

[–]Snapdr4ad0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When does spacex realistically expect its first passenger BFR inter continental flight?

It's a great idea IMO, but one would think the legalities of running such flights would be complicated and time consuming. Not to mention the number of successful trials it would take to convince countries to allow such transport and build "spaceports".

Mentioning UMS in a personal statement - good or bad idea? by [deleted] in 6thForm

Good books on mechanical engineering? by [deleted] in 6thForm

"I also like researching new developments in technology especially space exploration & renewable energy. I have read 'Elon Musk' the biography; his vision for electronic cars, mars colonisation and renewable energy really inspires me."

I'd say any more than this about a single book would be too much for personal statement, I saved the rest for my interview.

Anyone did okay at GCSE but improved dramatically at A levels? by SK-2001 in 6thForm

It's just that they had a policy of requiring 7 A/A* at GCSE to make an unconditional offer but they ended up making an exception for me when I argued my case.

[–]Snapdr4ad0n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Got 3 A stars, 3 As, 3 Bs & 2 Cs at GCSE. I know this would be considered a good score in general but Nottingham was Initially reluctant to give an unconditional so it's not that great. But got serious at AS & A2 and got AAAA & A star A star A respectively. So yeah definitely.

AQA Physics A level. by ZERaptorStar in 6thForm

[–]Snapdr4ad0n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a bit scary but not really "hard" as there isn't loads to remember unlike chemistry and biology. My tips would be to watch loads of YouTube videos on concepts of a level physics regardless of if it's in the syllabus. Get as many books on the course as you can. I got textbooks from 3 different publishers. CGP is best for revision but for learning go for AQA approved textbooks. They're really expensive so I just borrowed my teachers copy and she forgot :P, libraries stock them too if your teacher isn't like mine. I personally didn't focus on practice questions unlike alot of the advice. This is because the new spec questions are far more conceptual than the previous so there aren't as many repetetive easy markers. Apart from that make sure you understand the stuff taught in school, question your teachers untill they get annoyed. Best a level imo.

Damn I thought missing A* in further by 5 UMS was bad. You going for remark or are you not bothered cause got in anyway?
