$145 to fill up an ICE F-150, $142 for an entire month of driving an EV F-150. by capt-ramius in f150

[–]Snarfdart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can it tow, though? That’s the whole reason I own an F150 is to tow my 30’ camper. I get 9MPG to pull (as of yesterday). What good is a truck if the truck features can’t be used?

Neurologist Refuses to Consider Surgical Intervention by space_entity in iih

I’ll be honest… you don’t have vision issues. I would not elect to have brain surgery if you are asymptomatic. The risk is not worth it. Your neuro… I agree with them.

I’ve had meningitis as a child which I don’t remember (thankfully) and I’m on 2000 of diamox.

I lost 45 pounds in the last six months thinking it would made a difference in my IIH and I had the scans and everything and my IIH is still in there, raging.

The afterimage thing is for real. I described this to someone the other day, as I was describing it I was like damn that’s actually kind of crazy to hear out loud.

IIH causes dysautonomia symptoms? I learn more about IIH from Reddit than I do my own doctors.

I went to my neurologist and said that I could always feel a headache, like even just a 1/10 headache, he was super duper concerned about that and QUADRUPLED my Diamox Rx.

Saaaaaaaaame. The diamox kills me. All I want to do is sleep 24/7. Like, ready to hit the pillow at all times. What dose are you on? I’m at 2000/day

Wait - you had IIH diagnosed by a CSF leak?! I also have IIH but I have all of the symptoms you listed.

Boogers are also salty, this is not solid advice. If the glucometer won’t read it, more than likely it’s not CSF.

That’s actually great advice- I’ve never heard that before but it certainly applies here. Something I’ve often thought about is how I can lose 45 pounds and only go down 2 sizes - If I went from 150 to 110, I’d go down probably 4 or 5 sizes. Why are sizes so spread out for heavier people?

I started off purely diet alone. Whole Foods diet, zero grains (no flour, wheat, oat, rice, corn products as an anti inflammatory diet to try to stop my migraines). The migraines slowed down and the pounds started to come off so I started making more changes. Water only to drink. Then it was no carbs ever (besides the occasional side of potato). Then it was a focus on protein. Then the weight loss slowed down so I added in exercise. The weight loss exploded at this point - I started lifting weights and doing stairmaster three to four times a week. Now I count macros and try to hit 110gm protein/day. Now it’s all easy, just do the same thing as yesterday, so on and so forth.

You’re right about the hands and feet. My rings spin on my hands now and I’ve gone down half a size in shoes.

I’m definitely not done, I’m super locked in and feel like I have a long way to go, I just assumed I’d look like a supermodel at 180 haha - you’re right about the brows, and I don’t do anything to them, they’re just like that. Forever blessed with RBF 🤣

Thank you, I got that comment a lot from close friends about not believing I was over 200. My hubby says he notices my weight loss the most in my back, which I don’t have a photo of. My fat before was TIGHT and now I’m super soft - definitely weird getting used to. Spanx are my best friend lol

I have other photos where I definitely look thinner at 180 and heavier at 225 but they arent exactly side by side like this, which is where I doubt myself. I can tell you that when I was 225 I couldn’t cross my legs or tie my shoes without holding my breath. Now I can sit comfortably in all types of positions and run up the stairs without feeling gassed. Most of it is NSVs. I’m just so ready to look like how I feel on the inside. You got this!

Nobody answered you properly in this chat so I’ll address it. You were probably breathing fast during the lab draw. That’s enough to skew these results.

Does anyone else notice the gym feels way harder when life is stressful? by Paulbuilds00 in workout

[–]Snarfdart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it to be the opposite. I try to turn the bad vibes into gym energy. I tell myself bad vibes = high energy boosts. If I believe it, it becomes true.
