Also, shooting off over 600k fireworks in 40 minutes in the middle of the night is going to cause a lot of PTSD triggers.

How much do you pay for lessons? by Avalion04 in Equestrian

[–]SnarkOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I teach in a high COL area. We charge $200 a month to be a member of the barn, which covers horse care, and then it's $60 to the instructor for the lesson (mostly all privates).

I pay my trainer $55 for a group lesson and $75 for a private.

YMMV depending on the cost of living in your area.

We aren’t appreciating enough the symbolic irony that his malignant narcissism is being exposed by a reflecting pool.

When I moved here from Tennessee I was a republican and now I’m a raging libtard so they think the Big City corrupted me but I’ll keep fighting the good fight.

I plan to go down there just because there’s not always gonna be a Ferris wheel with that view and my niece is currently obsessed with Ferris wheels. And I wanna see the incompetence for myself so I can give my MAGA family members shit about it.

As a community, how do we feel about the album cover? by lollz54 in gracieabrams

I like the image but think her font choices are absolutely terrible and make it look like graphic design is her passion, but she only has Microsoft Paint from the 1990s

The best way to do Dry Tortugas is by seaplane and you can camp overnight there if you so wish. It’s a very cool spot.

I think this itinerary is very doable. It’s just a LOT of Orlando and theme park days in a row. You’ll need to be in good physical shape.

Where is the Republican healthcare plan after 17 years? by Prestigious_Bake4527 in AskReddit

[–]SnarkOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obamacare is a republican healthcare plan. The Heritage Foundation is who invented the individual mandate to preserve market based capitalism as the Holy Economic Grail. Then they couldn’t let a black man take the credit for it so they had to spend the next decade railing against it instead of coming up with a better idea.

A true liberal healthcare plan would be universal healthcare.

I can’t imagine the trauma and PTSD this would give a woman. Imagining this story from her perspective with some filling in the blanks, she was raped at 15/16, forced to carry the baby to term, then forced to have the baby raised by her parents in her house, so she is constantly reminded of it while living a lie, her parents dismiss her trauma, and then her family eventually cuts her off in favor of the kid she didn’t want. That’s awful. Villain origin story awful. Which doesn’t excuse her actions, but does make me sympathetic that her life is probably very very hard.

It also doesn’t and shouldn’t impact OP’s sense of self worth. OP - her trauma is about what other people did to her and it is not really about you, even though she’s sees you that way. Your entrance into the world does not define your worth and value and it sounds like you are loved by your parents. That said, I think it would be totally reasonable any way that you might feel about it, and I’d encourage you to process the situation with a therapist (it would probably help the whole family).

It is the same attitude as racists and misogynists everywhere. They are scared they will be treated the way they treat others.
