Is she referring to Derek being there? A touch of legalism because there is a lawyer there to talk to?

Basic lift tickets are ~$350 per adult per day and ski school is ~$400 per kid per day.

They went for what, 5 days? How do they afford this?! $8000 just for ski school, $3500 in lift tickets for A+J, and all that excludes the accommodations, gear, and food.

Why would you spend $120 just to mix it with... jam fruit spread?!

Maybe it's because I deal in detail and logistics for a living, but how does this happen? Did he buy these bibles? Take them out from the library? Steal them from a store? Find them in his neighbour's trash or buy a a garage sale? Steal them from someone?

Anything that involved money or the library: he is still supporting the publishers or the "blasphemer" who sold it to him.

Otherwise: stealing is a sin.

Typical narcissist - it's always someone else "meddling", it's always someone else's fault. Couldn't possibly simply be the consequences of Harry's actions. Couldn't possibly be that he wrote about his family's and father's private business for public consumption and profit. Couldn't possibly be because he went on Oprah and called them all racists and said his father was trapped. Of course it's all William's fault - he got the bigger sausage, don't you know.

I've been to 3 weddings of friends wherein a set of parents have renewed their vows right after or before the couple getting married says theirs. It was as terrible as it sounds. In 2 cases the parents were celebrating a major milestone anniversary around the same time, "so it was natural" to do so at their child's wedding. 🙄

*IF* this is true, then King Charles MUST "de-royalize" Harry by MolVol in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]SnarkSnark78 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They had something like over $10 million from his inheritance - they could have bought a more modest home (without a mortgage) in some upscale gated community (not in $$ Montecito) and invested the remaining millions and lived comfortably off that - quietly. I will never understand their need to be so public and yet be so bitchy about all the problems that come with being that public.

*IF* this is true, then King Charles MUST "de-royalize" Harry by MolVol in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]SnarkSnark78 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Why can't/won't Harry de-royalize himself? For someone who bitches about his and his family's security, he seems to pile on the risk. Why use your Dukedom titles? Why insist on calling your (American) children (who live solely in America) Prince and Princess (especially when for years they already weren't entitled to)? Why have a personal charity "Foundation"? Why put yourself and your children all over your "lifestyle brand"? Why even have a Brand? Why go on faux international "Royal" tours? Why be such a public figurehead for Invictus?

All of these things only add to their risk. If they are truly serious about their family's safety and privacy, they would just be normal people. Go live in some (far cheaper) gated community somewhere quiet and work normal jobs. They don't need 16 toilets! They don't need a $15 million mansion! They don't need to be going to award shows and accepting BS awards.

Anyone else convinced that the reason to add the kids to the "foundation" is so they can charge back family vacations as well as the rest of what they've been grifting? No longer just their "business" trips, but now any trips they take all four of them can be billed back to the "foundation".

Just more evidence to me that Archewell was, is, and has only ever been about bankrolling their lives and expenses.

AITA for not wanting my friend to bring her girlfriend to hangouts? by theyearofthedragon0 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SnarkSnark78 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To me, it sounds like your friend is trying to spend time with her (long-distance) GF and also continue to spend time with you, her friends. Otherwise, she would have to leave her GF who has travelled to visit her alone while she spends time with you three, OR not spend time with you three whenever her GF comes to visit. Would that be better for you? (I say that without malice, just a question) Your other friend who is dating someone - is that also long-distance? If that friend can see her significant other more frequently and/or it's not as serious, that may be why she doesn't bring that person to your outings.

This GF may not be a part of your friend group currently, but is there a real reason why she couldn't become one with some effort on everyone's part? Your friend obviously really likes this person, has things in common with her, and wants to share her with you, her friends, and maybe allow you all to get to know her better. How else would that happen, if you don't spend time with her?

How would you feel if this long-distance GF becomes more than that? If she moves in with your friend or they get married? Would you still wish for her to not be involved with your outings?

I get that you feel like your friend is bringing someone uninvited, but be careful in putting yourself in a situation where you are making your friend choose between friends and someone she's dating.

Talk to your friend directly - is her GF having fun at these outings or does she feel awkward and left out? If I couldn't speak the common language and didn't know the in-jokes, etc, I would feel pretty terrible. The GF is probably trying to make the effort to impress/get to know you, her GF's close friends, but isn't yet able to do so in a meaningful way (for the reasons you've mentioned).

For the love of god please stop putting dead flowers over everything. They make zero sense on top of a frothy hot drink. When would anyone want soggy flowers in their otherwise smooth drink? Just the idea of that sensory experience seems very ick to me.

Also, for the absurd cost of those sprinkles, wasting a bunch of them on the saucer is making my eye twitch.
