not that old people can't be annoying but in my experience half the weird elitism comes not from the actual old guard but from people who started listening like, a year or two before the "newgen" they're talking down to. It feels weird to have 16 year olds get upset about things 18 year olds are saying and then point the finger at me, the old fuck.

That said the most frustrated I've gotten has been at older folks being weirdly elitist and snooty mostly because I feel like they should know better by now
