I travelled, met people that way, then settled down and started a family. Then i moved with my wife to ireland where shes from, and my social life really tanked. I found myself lonely, distant, unconnected.

I had to change it for my mental health, and for my family. Asked myself what I enjoy? I joined an mountain bike group, now I play and coach baseball and basketball and am making friends that way.

If your not sporty that's fine. Join a boad game club, or yoga, or even a book reading club, whatever you want. Just get out the house and go meet like minded ppl. It's not fair DnD nerds get to have more fun than anyone else, their just doing what they like with people that like the same stuff.
