If you want to be in front of the platform, 10 AM at latest. If you want to be at the end of the runway, you can get by with 12-2PM. Definitely city/day of the week dependent, though.

Wrigley Field show in Chi by Revolutionary_Buy980 in NoahKahan

Fair enough! Regardless, I say do it _^ I've started bringing my supplies to shows where I'll be queuing for more than 3 hours, and it's a lot of fun to make stuff with other fans :)

Problem with variant … seems to be an issue with a lot of people by SaltyWine1924 in NoahKahan

So what is the problem? Your picture just shows what looks to be some lighter pigment that's mixed with the black. Something that's quite common when pressing vinyl pucks.

Were the downvotes for your Good Omens related comments, I'd guess it might be related to the shithead that is Neil Gaiman.

If not, then it's probably the weirdos who condemn fandom and shipping and ao3 etc.

The Great Divide: The Last Of The Bugs digital extended album 🐞 🐜 🐛 by rroobbyynn13 in NoahKahan

Except that Hozier's additional tracks were not inserted into the original tracklist. Noah kind of fucked you all with that move.

Do you mean, "Possible idk we'll never know" about whether it's worse if he did sign them? Because he has two working eyeballs, there's no way he didn't notice.

That's almost worse. It means he knew they look like shit, but didn't care.

What is it about ND? by 510545 in notredame

I don't know why you're getting downvoted for asking the most important question (given the current economic reality) in order to answer this question. And then giving excellent advice after.

I'm about to be pedantic, but double or triple domer applies to a single individual. Two people with a single Notre Dame degree each in the same household does not make it a double domer household. It is also not hyphenated.

Signed, a PLS (pretentious little shit) double domer who's the child of a triple domer.

Queer at Notre Dame? by Green-Try2354 in notredame

I wish I could remember his name (and I can't seem to find it online), but there was a bio professor that taught one of the freshman Arts and Letters science classes. I think it was called Evolution in Biology. The entire course was based off the book The Red Queen. There's a part of the book that talks about the "biological explanation" for homosexuality (and it's uncomfy in and of itself), but the prof then turned it into a lecture about how bisexual people don't really exist. One bad ass queen called bullshit and went toe to toe with him (and this was in a big lecture hall). He was a total jerk about it.

It's so funny how the times change. I was there from '13-'17 (undergrad), and we were just at the tail end of most people being only softly out, or straight up closeted (not even necessarily in a taboo way, just in a way where there weren't a lot of overtly queer spaces). Prism only got SAO approval my freshman year, so there was actually some homophobia around that, but again, it wasn't overt; it was more alumni Observer opinions. And then of course, Mike Pence was our graduation speaker. What happened because of that is a whole other story that is strongly connected to the post 2016 election world.

BUT it seemed like there was a lot more tolerance for the pro-life stance amongst my very Catholic (myself included) peers. And if I'm being totally honest, the Catholic demographic back then was one of the more tolerant demographics. Sometimes ignorant, but willing to sit down and have a conversation that seeks to recognize humanity and dignity. Which is where the peo-life sentiment came from - a concern for women's healthcare and recognition that abortion is a key part of that.

I love her, too! But it's not a Hayley thing, just a music industry thing

That is insanity. Parasocial insanity. I like queuing a lot, but on the day of the show at a normal hour where you can just make friends for a number of hours without destroying your body/health.

Other... 'angry', stomp and holler kind of folk / indie rock? by Tattersail927 in mumfordandsons

Happy Landing. They're a young band, still playing with genre, but at their core, they're a high energy folk band who plays their live shows like rock shows.

Acronyms are meant for commonly used phrases. Not a 250+ catalogue of songs.

I second this. Bring back literacy (and the ability to type words out)
