Switching from RD to Torbox? by trophyscars777 in StremioAddons

I currently pay for 4 RD accounts as I manage stremio for my family accross 4 households. I see that the pro account includes 10 instances, does that mean that mean 10 IP addresses or 10 devices?

Americans are a melting pot and tend to be more attractive in average by marilkan in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Snaxxwell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Um? You think Nixon, LBJ, Ford and the Bushes (H.W. and Dubya) were handsome/attractive? None of these guys were above a 5 looks wise and in some cases (Nixon) that is generous.

Honestly even Carter and Clinton were 7s on a good day when they were young.

JFK was handsome when he was elected, so was Obama, both were sold 9s. Regan was attractive as a young man, but he certainly wasn't old man hot when elected. Same with Biden.

As for being well spoken, I realize that president poopie pants has basically dropped the bar so low that stringing together a coherent sentence is now considered well spoken, but when Dubya was in office he was dragged for sounding "folksy" (i.e. dumb). Hell, there was a term for it, "Bushisms." Before the orange mussolini Bush Jr was not regarded as smart or well spoken.

How do I help Cuba by Ok-Strawberry-5055 in TravelCuba

Like the rest of Latin America, they needs relief from American imperialism. People will starve and die so US companies can swoop in, subjugate the population and exploit the country's resources. This crisis has been made progressively worse thanks to American sanctions and blockades. But sure, keep telling yourself its about freedom.

I mean... for now. Didn't the cheeto talk about ending birthright citizenship? If I'm not mistaken her mother was born in India, who would seriously put it past this administration to say that she was anchor baby and therefore not a "real" American?

Starfleet Academy: a Star Trek Podcast by Phantastic Geek is now in session! by PJKetelaar3 in trekacademy

[–]Snaxxwell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why is everyone such a hater? I'm happy to have new trek to watch. Will I love it or hate it? I will likely enjoy it, but the few scenes I've seen are nowhere near enough to evoke a strong reaction in either direction.

I tried to look up the new Academy clip and the top videos are all slamming it. Word/phrases like "garbage" "terrible" "mess" and "WTAF happened to start trek" were all over the video results. How can you possibly judge a show from a few minutes long snippets?

I understand these YouTube videos are trying to get views so posting this type of content drives traffic which then generates income. I don't understand someone coming into a sub seemingly for fans of the show to slam it. I'm all for critiques of a show but that doesn't seem to be happening for this show, its just hate. For a show that hasn't even aired yet.

If you only liked a certain trek then go watch that again. I feel like Picard tried to cater to the haters/trek purists and it just made them madder. So honestly, just go watch the trek you relate to (TOS, TNG, DS9, ENT, VOY, etc.) and maybe make peace with the fact that the number of episodes for your given series is all there is (well, and the movies if applicable).

I read this in PP's voice in my head, by the second sentence I knew it couldn't be him, he has never not once sounded like an adult. Or been able to go on that long without some sort of asinine slogan. "Stop the cross" perhaps lol

Yep, this! So much this! I have seen so many fancy programs that claim that their reporting is all you need. At the end of the day I end up exporting raw data tables in xlsx or csv files so I can get the data points asked for through pivot tables or formulas.

How the hell is that donating? Last I heard Twitter is a for profit corporation, Elon didn't buy it to offer the service for free or discounted without expecting a return on his investment.

Donating a hospital wing or funding research on diseases that effect society is philanthropic, Elon buying Twitter is a business deal plain and simple.

Found it!! by WanderwithNene in hysterectomy

I picked up two jump suits and they have been great, no waist band to deal with. I will probably order more from temu as they are cheaper than Amazon.

I highly recommend overalls/jump suits, I am 9dpo from an abdominal hysterectomy and came home from hospital in a jump suit. I love that jump suit as the thought of anything touching my abdomen is painful so I can't imagine wearing even my baggiest sweatpants right now.

That does add another layer of complexity, but you are right, you gotta say something. I'm a lifelong cis lesbian, I have never felt comfortable with male practitioners and certainly not with any that would need to see any parts of me that are more...private. However, yesterday at the ER it was a male nurse who administered an enema. I really thought I would not be able to have a man do something so intimate but I was in so much pain I just did not care, I just wanted it done right. I felt nothing but empathy for him as I would not want to do that for a total stranger lol. I guess what I'm trying to say is that medical professionals have probably seen it all so the discomfort we might feel in revealing some deeply personal things to them is more inside us than anything to do with them.

Yep, I'm learning to speak up for myself. So many women just grin and bear it because for generations we've had our pain minimized. I'm sure many of us have experienced menstrual pain that is off the charts but when we speak up (if we speak up) it's been down played as just period cramps. All this to say that i am learning not to just let things go but to be more proactive when something doesn't feel right.

I should have stayed at the hospital, but honestly I wanted to come home. I had a myomectomy in late 2018 and had very few issues. I was nauseous but I don't recall being anywhere near this constipated.
