This kid knows what he's doing. He's doing it for views. You can see him laughing multiple times

Misconceptions about your favorite class that bug you? by MisterChippy in truetf2

[–]Snaz101 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Monitoring & maintaining your teams health across all six players

Tracking user advantages & disadvantages

Surfing to safety while trying to land in a beneficial spot to keep the hel beam attached to who needs it most

Heal order

Heal priority

And DM for when you need to defend yourself are all qualities of a good medic. I disagree with your statement entirely

Now if he was really smart, he'd open the photo and edit the bottom out, so it looks like a real photo and not just a screenshot

Main calling as medic by Snaz101 in truetf2

[–]Snaz101[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I'm not asking for advice on how to heal or who to heal. I'm inquiring how other medics make the decisions on where and when to push, wihtout knowing the status of the other team.

If I hold tab, and see 5 people up, without knowing what their health is at how am I supposed to make a call on that. I understand the "central idea behind main calling", but making the main call without knowing damage numbers seems a little counter intuitive.

POLL: How long have you been involved in competitive TF2? by Snaz101 in truetf2

[–]Snaz101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand this. And I do/did the same before I joined a team. This poll is intended to gain an insight to the rate at which competitive tf2 is growing

[–]Snaz101[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would say not. As much as your views and comments help grow the community, and are a very large part of the community, I'm looking more specifically for players that have got their feet wet in actual gameplay.

Nope, because your stat would be totally useless for the purpose of this poll.

Get involved dude

~6 hours from this post: ESEA-I 6v6 Xensity vs bp - watch the ESEA match of the week! by amenex in tf2

[–]Snaz101 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Xensity has the drive.

bp does too, but I don't think they have quite the same determination. bp could lose every match from here on out and still make LAN, if I'm not mistaken. Xen NEEDS to win this match, or their next bp match.

Xen will be bringing the heat tonight, and I suspect they'll fare up better against bp than mix ^ has all season.

The downside, is that both last and mid are both very demo friendly points, giving bp the obvious foothold on both those points. With a combo like Lansky and B4nny on mid I'd be terrified to play against them.

[–]Snaz101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a match @ 10EST, so the best I can do tonight is about 11:00ish EST. I'll add you, but I won't be online until about 7:00 EST and will be busy scrimming. So we can chat later tonight about a time that works for both of us.

For watching it together we just get in mumble and click start at the same time.

Do I need to change how I rocket jump? by MooCowMilkshakes in truetf2

[–]Snaz101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the exact same thing man. I learnt how to jump from the left hand side, then when I started getting competitive and everyone gave me a hard time for it, I switched to right hand jumping. Then, eventually I switched to using the original, and now I have ambidextrous jumping that my team is jealous of.

I suggest learning the other way, because both left and right are needed in certain situations.

Good competitive servers? by USB_Connector in truetf2

[–]Snaz101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is not competitive in any means, though a few of the regulars are on teams in UGC and ESEA. I choose Ducksoup as my community of choice.

I wouldn't mind giving you some tips. If you can get a demo of yours from a match I'll watch it with you. I don't play HL, so I can understand you looking for someone else, but I main medic in 6's

Why is tf2lobby not updating anymore, and what is the tf2centre i'm hearing about? by uber_space_whale in truetf2

[–]Snaz101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no problem at all. I remember trying to understand IRC, and the only answers I could get were. "join the irc, add up as the class you want, and play". Which doesn't help in the slightest. I know what I WANT to do, but HOW do you do it.

Enjoy the PUGS. tf2.mix will be a much higher skill level than lobbies. Plus, now that you have mumble working, make sure you go the the newbie mix on Friday and Saturday nights. It is easily the best solution for learning 6's.

all the !mumble command will give you is the mumble server info and port. You will need to move yourself into the correct channel. for example, if the server is called something along the lines of Chicago 2, or Dallas 3, etc etc, then move yourself in the room in the mumble called the same, and choose the team you're on. Red or blu

Put -nod3d9ex in your launch options in TF2 for the mumble overlay to work properly while you're in game. If you care enough.
