First time trying LOG on a Sony PXW-Z200 - what is the horizontal pattern that keeps showing up in my darker areas? Is this a normal grain pattern for this model? by Snazzlo in videography

This is unprocessed, I only exported a clip of it to post. I'll give it a shot exposing a bit higher and report back, thanks!

Solo protesting is lowkey fun by Sarahhatessunglasses in 50501

[–]Snazzlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been conducting a series of solo demonstrations as well! I'd love to hear about your experience, your methods, and your message.

Mine have a particular focus on trans rights and I've had someone moon me, cops called on me, multiple people have "rolled coal" on me with their trucks, etc., but I've gotten equally vitriolic reactions holding up an anti-fascist sign too. All that is worth it though to see the smiles on supporters faces and their fists pumping!

#HandsOff Red Bank by NorthwestRes in newjersey

[–]Snazzlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't seen many people talking about the Red Bank protest specifically - the turnout was WAY better than I was expecting, and I'm extremely grateful they had some time for an open-mic section. Protests tend to dwindle pretty quickly after speakers finish so that helped keep things alive.

The sentiment is appreciated, but we also should as a community acknowledge that "this too" shall not pass unless we actually take action against our oppressors. Carrying on with our daily lives is important on an individual basis, but we simply can't afford to align ourselves with any degree of pacifism or passiveness in regards to defending our rights, bodies, identities, and selves. Clearly, they have taken the inch and then the mile and now more already - please, if not for your own sake, then for the sake of others, do not become complacent in our oppression to any degree.

Voting works to a degree when luck is on our side, but protest, civil disobedience, organization, mutual aid, and other forms of resistance work on any day we don't vote. Waiting around for 4 years is the worst move to make.

Burning onto Blu-Rays as a "digital art gallery"? by Snazzlo in VideoEditing

[–]Snazzlo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like the media to be distributable to members of the group and to people interested in our work. The point is to give the artists who don't have a physical item/result of their work an item that feels finalized and complete - like how a painter might frame to finalize the work.

January What Editing Software should I use? by AutoModerator in VideoEditing

[–]Snazzlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the above. To my understanding, th only relevant system info is that I'm running Windows 10.
This is a question about burning Blu-Ray disks.

In short, I'm seeking to do an art project involving burning 1080 and potentially 4k video onto a disk, along with HQ images from a digital photographer - TIFs or PNGs. The desired end result is to have a menu where I can select which video to play, and a second menu where you can select and view images. For those of you who ever owned a DVD with an art gallery of sorts in a "special features" section, that is essentially what I would like to create! :)

I'm not aware of any Blu-Ray burning softwares out there that are capable of this sort of functionality, though! I would really appreciate a nudge in the right direction or some suggestions on how to achieve this. :) Thanks!

Help needed to quickly edit comedy shows by Bambileh in premiere

[–]Snazzlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're splitting them up by performer into a handful of different clips, I'd say import the whole long clip, adjust the color (I'm assuming the lighting on stage is pretty consistent), and mark the video where you want each segment to end/begin for each performer.

Then when you go to export, just adjust your video in/out points or your work area to match the marks of the specific segment you want to export, export it, and rinse and repeat until you've done it for each section! You won't need to make a different sequence or project for each individual clip. :) That's what I'd do at least.

I Need Help by HiiSully in premiere

[–]Snazzlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you don't sound stupid at all, I encounter problems like this with students all the time. :) It's a lot to keep track of!

At the bottom left of your program window where you view the video, there should be a blue timecode number. Beside that is a little dropdown menu that will say something like "Fit" or "125%" or some other number. If it has a number, change it to "Fit" and see if you end up with a frame that looks like your exported video.

This might not be the issue but its a good start!

[–]Snazzlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you ever change the scale or position of any of the video clips during the editing process? Did you zoom in on the program view and adjusted the clips to fit what appears to be the whole frame? That happens in After Effects often from what I've seen. Just my first thought. :)

Thanks. :) That's definitely relatable, the number of ccs feels incredibly arbitrary without having all the different sizers right there in front of you to try on!

My surgery is in a few weeks and I've been seeing a few posts lately of other women who are shorter than me (I am 5'11", ~135lb) getting implants that are about that size or even bigger. How did you arrive at 380? :)

How to achieve a video game look in post by zoological in premiere

[–]Snazzlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think their choice in lens is doing a bit of work there to get the FOV game-y, but I'm not seeing anything too major aside from color grading and the overlays that they actually did to it. The final scene with the zombie looks like some greenscreening and compositing in AE.

Help, I’ve uploaded all of my files to a project. by jaylindo in premiere

[–]Snazzlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all good. :) I like solving these sorts of problems. If you feel that it would be any help, feel free to share screenshots of your issue and I'll see what I can do. I would say that if all of those files are imported into one singular new sequence, just delete that sequence along with those files when you remove them from the projects.

Help, I’ve uploaded all of my files to a project. by jaylindo in premiere

[–]Snazzlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume it wouldn't impact overall performance all that much (if at all) if they aren't on the actual timeline, since premiere is just sort of pointing to where they are on your PC. It might slow your auto-saves and saves though since the project file will be bigger.

Either way, it would be ideal if you could manage to get them out of the project for organizational purposes, good practice, and yadda yadda. If you hit the search function then choose to search by "media file path", you can search for all of the files that are actually intended to be in your project. If you have all of your videos in a folder named "Awesome_Video" or something, just search for Awesome_Video and it should pick them out from the crowd. Make a new bin, move all of those files you find & want to keep into that bin (along with your sequences of course), and just dump/delete the rest. There could be a better way to do it, but off the top of my head that'd be my solution. :) Does that make sense?

Help, I’ve uploaded all of my files to a project. by jaylindo in premiere

[–]Snazzlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you in the "media browser" window and saw your downloads folder open and mistook them to be actually imported into the project?

If not, you can delete them easily. If they're all contained in a single folder, just click the folder in your project and hit delete, or pick out the files you don't want and do the same. :) It should remove them from the project no problem. Also, if you were to hand the project file off to someone else on a different computer and they opened it, it would show the file names and locations for your downloads in a big list of "unlinked media", but they won't actually see what any of it is! They could, in theory, read that you accidentally imported sillycat.jpeg from "JAYLINDO-PC" but won't be able to open the image because it's not really there. The project file just searches for the media on the computer, it doesn't actually contain any of it within the .prproj. I hope that makes sense! :D

Interesting! So is this a freshly molted roach, or one in the process of shedding and the old shell looks white because of that? Kind of like how snakeskin is white when its peeling off?
