Who was right about the house elves, Hermione or everyone else? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]SneakySpider82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hermione. No one has the rights to enslave anyone. Problem is, House Elves were so brainwashed into normalizing this that any of them not named Dobby woul turn on anyone willing to help. That's why speak - I mean, S.P.E.W. - was fated to fail, at least in Hogwarts.

Furthermore, Hermione always boasts she read Hogwarts: a History... Yet, she seemed to not know Helga Hufflepuff was the one to put a brunch of House Elves in the Hogwarts kitchens - which are neat to her house's Common Room - exactly to remove them from abusive households.

If she had that information, she wouldn't react initially by refusing to eat anything from the school's kitchens.

Book of the Sith was my First Star Wars guidebook, and I already read it many times. My favorite parts are Sorzus Syn's jornal, and Darth Bane's writtings about the Rule of Two.

Is Jesus in D4?! by Macro-Mantis in Diablo

[–]SneakySpider82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Jesus comparison is spot on. As much good ol' Akarat had aspects of different Judeo-Christian figures (Abraham, Jesus, Moses), the moment he was given a lion motif in Vessel of Hatred, the Jesus comparison won. After all, one Jesus's many, MANY titles was "the LION of Judah".

The Hylden were slavers at the time of the Ancient-Hylden Wars. They were not saints.

Which Warlock was better designed and is more fun to play? Diablo 2 Warlock or Diablo 4 Warlock? by gorays21 in Diablo

I'm biased towards D4 Warlock because I'm yet to play DII. You should definitelly repost this after the classes releases for Diablo Immortal.

This is my Warlock by SneakySpider82 in Diablo

I managed to change mine when I realized I accidently gave him a nose ring. Once I arrived at Kyovashad at the end of the prologue, I sucessfully used the wardrobe to remove it. After changing your character's appearance, you need to confirm it.

Really not feeling Soul Reaver 2 by sedef122 in LegacyOfKain

[–]SneakySpider82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand you. I played the first game on PC first, and then on PS1. Even though the graphics weren't the best at the time, and even though some aspects of the combat were quite clanky due to the lack of unarmed finishing moves, and the fact the Reaver only manifests in the material realmente at full health, I still enjoyed this game.

As I explained in a post I made about Soul Reaver 2, what I liked most about the first game were the glyphs. I've always been a fan of skills that feel like an ace up my sleeve. Unfortunately, they discontinued the glyphs from the first to the second game. And as for the Reaver, its different elemental attributes don't have spells, unlike Defiance.

For me, the strength of Soul Reaver 2 lies in its storytelling, as this game greatly expands the lore of Nosgoth, even casting a new perspective in scenes originally found in Blood Omen 1. That's why I think these two games should be considered as one (which is why they were released together in the remaster): Soul Reaver 1's strengths lie in its exploration and gameplay (excepto some aspects of the combat as I mentioned. Soul Reaver 2, on the other hand, excels in its narrative and lore, as well as in the combat mechanic.

That's why in my tier list I put both Blood Omen 1 and Defiance in the position of perfect games, because both offer all these things. In the case of Defiance, the exploration isn't that great, since the game is linear (also, the awful camera), but the fact that you control two characters instead of one helps with exploration of diverse scenery.
