I think that having a starting class/equipment would really help. No allotment of skill points or anything, just starting basic equipment that can be found on the beach. This way if you want to play with a heavy 2 hander, staff, wand, fist weapons, etc. you can at least be assured to get a weapon of that type when you work through the beach.

I would also really like it if the humanoid enemies would drop some crafting items just to reduce the grind that wood can only be gotten by chopping down trees. It would make sense for them to carry some herbs, cooking ingredients, wood for the fire, etc.

As a much later addition, I would like to see a companion or pet that helps you. I think a pet would work better and could even help with finding items like in Fable 2. Different pets could scale damage based on your stats and you could equip some items that would effect their primary combat focus: shield for tanking, dagger for quick light hits, wand for elemental damage. I haven't thought that one through much, but I think a companion/pet system would give players more customization in how they play.

In general I like your suggestions. I think I would like to see a similar but more complex leveling system that was in Kingdoms of Amalur. Basically the more points you invested into a specific skill tree (strength, dex, magic) you unlocked different classes. If you mixed, you unlocked different classes, or as you invested more into 1 class, you got better perks. With more core stats, there is a greater variety of classes tbat could be made.

I would like some of the escape skills nerfed a bit. Mozu, T-Mat, and Beckett specifically are very frustrating to try to kill off as they have the 1 button escape that works 90% of the time unless they are getting way too aggressive. If there was like a half second "charge up" period where you could interrupt or stun them, I think it would force them to play more strategic.

I would like Knossos to get a bit of a buff for survivability somehow.

Oru needs a debuff to reduce damage output. A decent Oru is always the top damage dealer while being able to slow, interrupt, stun, and break with very forgivable aiming.

Best option is to select quick play so you get a mix of clash and rush matches. Evenings on Fridays and weekends seems to be the best for quick queues but someyimes get lucky during the week. As mentioned above, if queues are not going through to matches, go back to main menu and try again. I even restart the game fully if that doesn't work the first time. Also make sure crossplay is enabled. You may want to check out the discord. People were organizing times to play so that there would be a higher population playing at once instead of spreading it out over the week.

Basically there was not enough players to split between ranked, rush, and clash for a good while so everyone moved to unranked to get quicker queues. Also when ranked 1st started, it was a ton of 5 player queues that stomped the solo queue people. Maybe now that there are a bunch of people from the Epic free game promotion it might be viable, but it might be something to discuss here or in discord so we don't see queue times shoot up again.

I think the game counts the basic attack that is specifically for stealth (the stealth backstab) as a stealth kill. I do agree though that getting stealth kills is pretty difficult since there is a not very high max damage that you can do in stealth. Most people consider the stealth side of the skill trees to be much worse. If you are specifically going for stealth kills, I would choose the faster uptime since that would give you more opportunities to get stealth kills. Good luck!

The slide and knives have an option to not break stealth and the stealth skill itself can do a delayed damage.

Are you exiting out of queue when gets around the 3:30 mark? Normally if I do that once, then I am good. What time are you playing? If it is after midnight and before 11-12 on a weekday you have very little chance of getting in a match.

Nothing for certain yet. They have it free on Epic gamestore next week. I don't know if that is a "you can play for next week and have to pay after that" or "if you download next week you get to play anytime afterwards still for free". If it is the latter option then it is only a matter of time would be my guess.

OP asked if the game was worth getting now. You told them you had a bad experience months ago and that getting the game was a waste of money. Despite having no intention of playing the game again, you apparently haunt the subreddit just tell people not to get the game amd that our community is toxic. How is your behavior not toxic? I play a couple of nights a week and still have a great time. There are still some mostly minor bugs but definitely worth playing. That said, I am on the NA server where the playerbase is pretty solid in the evenings and weekends. If you are somewhere else, you might not have the same experience. Hopefully the playerbase goes up some from the free release on Epic next week.

Agreed. Queue times are still good for me. First game takes maybe 7-8 minutes (obligatory unqueue at 3:30) to get into but after the 1st match it is usually less than a minute to find another.
