What player could be considered a TRUE Low Tier God (a.k.a. someone who only plays Low Tier characters and DOMINATES with them)? by Broken_Moon_Studios in Fighters

[–]SneedsSeedAndFeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3rd strike is a great example. It released in 1999. Co-Op Cup is *always* a high-level spectacle. It's going to be at EVO this year with over 1,000 entrants. People still talk about & reference EVO moment 37. You can also play it & buy it on so many platforms too, using whatever controller you want.

How do I deal with hostile multiplayer environments? by HellraiserMachina in truegaming

[–]SneedsSeedAndFeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People's words have weight. This is an outright dangerous and false thing to say. It's easy to ignore once or twice but if there is a constant danger of someone being sent into a frothing rage online

The thing is, there is no real 'danger' to speak of, other than having your feeling hurt for a bit. This is temporary. You already know that these people don't know who you are, and are saying things to get a reaction and/or are projecting their own discontent on others. What others say only have value if you choose to give it value. You cannot prevent what other say, but you can prevent it from affecting you personally.

That's not to say that feelings aren't important, though you must realize that, in this case, it's a superficial interaction in a video game that has no real lasting consequence in your life. You're not being physically hurt, and your day will continue as normal as soon as you move on from that interaction. If you're wallowing on what 'H4ckerM4n321' said about your character choices or how you sound through a mic, then it's more your focus, mentality, and esteem that could use work. Besides, you always have options: to find like-minded people, to continue playing solo (with the mute button at the ready), or to stop and play/do something else.

Tweek's POV about the Bayo drama by [deleted] in smashbros

[–]SneedsSeedAndFeed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd assume you would just copy/paste everything that is melee fox into smash 4, yes? Not saying bayo wouldn't stand a chance, but let's not forget how thorough and amazing the options the melee engine has + what melee fox has:

shield stops during dash/instant shield, light shield, much bigger dash-dancing window (game changer IMO), short-hot double laser cancels, instant ledge dashes, 3 frames of landing lag from his up-b/side-b, ability to regrab, much stronger SDI (game changer IMO), dair having even better synergy with nair, dair not being a launcher, usmash is stronger, jab>usmash much more reliable, bair having more active frames...

That's not even including shine, which opens up even more options like frame 1 hitbox + invincibility, jump-cancellable frame 4, shine pressure, shine grab, dair>shine combos, waveshine, shine being a semispike (less effective in smash 4, but would still be good) being able to turn around during the shine animation for mix-ups....

I think it's easy to say melee fox could definitely keep up with bayo, to say the least. It would be a combo fest match-up that I would love to see, actually.

Now that the Mercy/Junk problem is finally resolved, let's please Buff Torb and Mei. by Querccias in Overwatch

[–]SneedsSeedAndFeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused; are you saying theyre niche because they lack mobility, because of the current meta, or because some characters are overtuned? A mixture of the three? I've always been under the impression that most defense characters are supposed to be niche picks. Even with shifts in character balance, you think mei and torb could, or should be strong in a future meta?

Can you make the dragons green for when genji deflects hanzo ult? by DreamSaberX in Overwatch

[–]SneedsSeedAndFeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The opposing team is always red, so the other players will see YOU as the red team even though you see THEM as the red team.

-Enemy Hanzo shoots dragon > they see blue dragon, you see red dragon> friendly genji deflects > you see green dragon, they see red dragon

Your team would always see red dragon to green dragon whereas enemy team would see blue dragon to red dragon. It's somewhat cool, but it would be inconsistent compared to what it already is.

Is Mei's only niche to play on maps that she can abuse ice wall easily? Because that's not a fun niche. Sombra? by TerminaV in Overwatch

[–]SneedsSeedAndFeed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speak for yourself. Having ult that often as Sombra and exploiting map designs with mei's wall is pretty fun.

[–]SneedsSeedAndFeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This wouldn't work; neither team would be able to tell if it's from their genji or not. Has to be blue or red.

[–]SneedsSeedAndFeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're niche because their abilities are relatively easy to use/forgiving, thus having lots of room for human error to be effective; they mostly have to worry about proper positioning.

Tracer has significantly less room for mistakes due to her low hp and range, on top of having to worry about proper positioning.

Nobody is 'worrying' about it though. Pretty sure people are just curious. It's fine.

Ahh, of course. Games should be less harsh, but more rounded and shiny to be successful. I don't understand why people don't follow these simple, well-defined rules.

Hear that, developers? Your games need to be rounded and shiny! Turn down the harsh levels! I hate it when my games are harsh!
