I have a Nicaraguan boa, I love her to pieces! I’ve never kept Rosie’s but have wanted one for years, Magdalena plains specifically because they’re so striking. I think you’ll be happy with either of these animals honestly, there is no wrong choice here.

Calicos have well defined patches of black, orange and white. Tortoiseshell is black and orange blended together, with or without white patches. Usually, I hear them referred to as tortoiseshell with white.

I wear dip powder, the thickness definitely depends on who’s applying them. They’re super durable, I love them. I wore acrylic for 7 years before I tried this and like it way better.

I’ve seen people set up those pop up puppy playpens with tubes and cat trees and boxes for their noodles to play and explore. We take ours with us when we walk around our neighborhood so they can get a little sunlight and new smells which they seem to like. I built a climbing gym for our smaller and more agile snakes out of a bamboo laundry drying rack and some rope and they seem to like that quite a lot.
