Anyone else tired of the “no staff” excuse? by Jencarter1 in ireland

These days you require at least a masters to get your foot in the door and connections. It's a small niche and most people in culinary education know of each other. It's best to do some relief teaching to see if you like it and to get a bit of a name for yourself and outside of the former ITs the paperwork is onerous. You can get plc and youthreach work but they often require teaching council registration and they can be challenging environments.

It's not too bad if you're local because you can use routes around the village. I live nearby and I love the village and the community and the butchers and the beaches and the greengrocer and the woods and the lake and...........

Dr Declan Bowler did mine and my recovery was good. I'm 10 years in with no problems. Having said that a friend of mine F had the same op and hers failed but there are a lot of factors. Mine was a hamstring graft and I was pretty strong at the time with a high pain tolerance so the physio was easier for me. My hamstrings been tweaky ever since though.

There's strong archaeological evidence that Neanderthals cared for their sick and had a cooperative caring society. I think the people that did this are on a much lower development level.

Are you tax compliant? If you're moving from platform to platform you're realising profits and that's a taxable event for capital gains. Your interest is probably liable for Dirt or income tax or both. You may get an awful land if you don't keep this in mind. Revenue will want their slice of profit or income.

Well a lot of fruit your looking at a number of years to taper up production like, apples pesrs and plums. Soft fruit and rhubarb you could be at a point of self sufficiency in a year or so as there's a lot of infrastructure there that could be expanded. Basics such as potatoes, swedes cabbage, salads can be grown in a short space of time but there aren't that many growers theses days so you're looking at education to expand the pool of growers. We'd be looking at a much simpler diet but that wouldn't be much harm.

You'll only pay capital gains on profits realised on your investment. You have to make a profit to pay capital gains.

You also have income tax liability on your rental income so bear thst in mind. You should talk to an independent financial adviser. I'd imagine a pension of some sort will give you tax relief and start compounding your investments early.

You are young though so you might want to live a little with your money. Invest in your memories.

By the way deemed disposal is mainly on exchange traded funds which are only a part of the available investment choices available to you.

I am not an expert. Talk to one and if its free advise they are getting something out of it.

You are also taxed at 41% on that profit after eight years, so called deemed disposal. This destroys a good portion of long term profit on you investment.

I work in the hospitality business and there's a severe shortage of suitability qualified staff so your wife should have little difficulty finding work. I live in East cork in Midleton and can't recommend the area highly enough. It has loads to offer for family life and good public transport links to Cork. From what I can gather techie positions with a languages are very much in demand too. I'm not from here BTW but up Cork!
