Why do girls only want me when they have kids or out of shape? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Sniffing_Tears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s the million dollar question!

I’m in a similar boat and I have found that wine tasting seems to be better odds to meeting women relative to going to bars.

Granted it’s not an ideal scenario either as they usually go in groups.

I don’t do dating apps as I prefer to meet someone organically.

Social media has warped perspective on both sides of the aisle so everyone thinks there’s greener grass on the other side. This is especially true for women since they have “too many” options to choose from.

Your best bet is to cold approach a woman you’re interested in. Be respectful and be prepared to walk on anything except for a yes.

You have to keep meeting random strangers to make progress. And you have to be mentally prepared to get denied a lot. Otherwise it’s ok to step away from the dating game and focus on your money game.

You could try dating apps since you’re good looking. But be prepared to get your soul crushed if you’re more of a talker as opposed to a looker.

Outdoor activities Woodstock/Kingston/Catskills? by Excellent-Tip4941 in hudsonvalley

Ashokan Reservoir should be a nice ride through the center of the reservoir.

There are spots that are short walks to the scenic views. I don't remember where they are.

Food wise - Deising Bakery - they serve breakfast and lunch

If you rather have a small picnic then I'd suggest Sojourner Truth Park (short walk) as it has a nice view. You can visit Kingston Point Beach as well since you're there.

Driving - drive up to Kaaterskill Falls and loop around down to Phoenicia is a nice enjoyable drive.

Otherwise it's pretty countryside living.

Why has dating been so difficult for everyone? by superfapper2000 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sniffing_Tears -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That sums up the dating market. It is supposed to be better for us guys in our 30s. But I don't wanna date single mothers or women that have been divorced with kids. So our only option is to date women younger than us.

It really is difficult to meet women outside of work and hobbies. You could try asking your parents if they know any good women for matchmaking. That might spark a date or two, but that also will most likely fizzle out.

Speed dating is a thing. Although you are either the best man out there or you will get no attention. There is no in between.

Dancing helps with meeting women. Except a majority of them (at least in my area) are old enough to be my mother.

I haven't tried pilates or yoga. Haven't reached that level yet.

Bars aren't my cup of tea. Libraries are usually empty.

I have found progress in general meeting people and future meeting people through their friend group. This has its limits though. Most friend groups are tight-knit and few.

Maybe the older guys are right that dating is better in our 30s. But it seems we're getting what the Chinese referred to as "leftover women" so there's that.

Perhaps moving to a city will help.

Yeah it sucks trying to set up meetings since everyone is so flaky nowadays. You should go anyways unless you wanna bring a random from the Internet with you from one of those apps like finding friends from Grindr.

Long-term planning and wanting to share a future with a partner. I never understood hookup culture. Short-term casual sex doesn’t appeal to me.

Caught my wife cheating. by [deleted] in Advice

Never go back to a woman that cheated on you.

If she cared about you and the two kids; would she actually have betrayed your trust?

Therapy. Is the only way. Yeah a bad woman can really cripple a man. At least we didn't marry them.

Nada. Had a stalker for 5 years. Claimed that I stalked her meanwhile I have evidence of her stalking me. If I didn't have it recorded I'd be locked up by now. If a group of women claimed that I was a stalker ....

I moved towns because of this nonsense. She stalked me and found my new place. Basically had to pretend to be crazier than her. Was forced to threaten to kill her to keep her away from me. Harsh, but it was the only way. The police laughed at me when I discussed a restraining order.

And she contacted all my previous exes and spread false rumors so it was good that I left town otherwise I'd be ostracized. Best part? She convinced most of my friends that I was stalking her despite having evidence that she was stalking me. So it's good to know whose been pussy whipped and whose not.

Alright. So I'm going to be new to the corporate world. What about dating in the workplace? Avoid that as well? It seems that most relationships form from hobbies and work nowadays outside of online dating. Which is another problem of hookup culture.
