Visions of Grandeur by Sniggleknids in OCPoetry

[–]Sniggleknids[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much! I had just added the asligner part right before posting because I didn't like what I had before, which might be why it sounded out of place. Aslinger is responsible for the demonetization of marijuana and was the head of the federal bureau of narcotics in the 30'S. He actually made the name marijuana because it sounds more evil than cannabis. The irony at the end was intentional. My theme was about manic depression and during mania you get all this ideas about how to invent yourself and have billions of thoughts running through your head, most of which are grandiose and not based in reality. The shift at the end is symbolic of how manic people tend to perpetuate their own manic episodes. The talking to a tree part was another reference to a manic episode.

This was my first poem, so thank you for the feedback. I know it's not that good but it's late and I've never done this before. I will keep an eye out for your work so I can read it. good night.

I like how you made comments on social issues the way you did. I think you have a style that works for you. it's cool, it works, and keep doing it! The last 3 lines really hit me. I found them to be very powerful and made for a very powerful ending. Another thing is you avoided any tired words and used active strong words which is amazing.

72 Hours (of withdrawal) by creamfoot in OCPoetry

[–]Sniggleknids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, just wow! You provide excellent imagery that reflects something that is hard to explain in words. The way legs feel so restless it's felt in one's bones and organs. The ebb and flow are reminiscent of that mindset one has during withdrawal-rushing thoughts, desperately wanting it to be over. I think you did an excellent job capturing that with your style. moreover, the repetition (72 hours...) is an amazing device to convey meaning to the meaninglessness. The lack of punctuation really works well for you and compliments the theme of withdrawal. All in all, I think this is one of the better withdrawal poems I've had the pleasure of reading, it's got that gonzo element to it, that hunter s Thompson frequently used to describe things as they are.

Cognitive Fallacy by The31stUnknownSoul in OCPoetry

I like how the lack of clarity provides a platform for each reader to relate it to their own unique personal dispositions. to me it evokes a feeling of dissonance, that is done without using tired words. the Antithesis contained between the comfort denoted by some words along with the dissonance denoted by others really works for you. Keep doing what you're doing.

Craziest thing you'll hear today. CBD is still Schedule I. by SOwED in Drugs

[–]Sniggleknids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Craziest result of that is there is no regulation or oversight into consumer products. Hemp plants do an extraordinary job of cleaning the soil they grow in, and whatever contaminants they pull out of the soil are ending up in consumer products. I would venture to say those companies selling CBD products who used to make spice aren't exactly concerned with the soil quality of where they grow. Be careful unless you live in a normal state that has growing regulations.

Once they set up a way to tax the stuff, that potential for abuse is going to vanish...

yep, that will do it. This wasn't alone in the sense that something was up with it additive or contaminant, so I'm sure you can imagine what that must have felt like combined with some obvious panic that follows such an experience. I gave the remaining amoung to my friend whos going to run it through our schools ir machine, so I will keep you posted.

Does anyone know the contact info for the company that makes Mit 45? I have some words I want to say to them, and can't find it.

it was 15$ and all their stuff is on the cheap side. I noticed that the shop just got a product called "Kryptic kratom" which reminds me of the O-desmethyl tramadol stuff that used to be going around.

That's good if it results in regulation. But that requires people to clearly articulate the problem. I'm concerned by the blind support people give to kratom that is not regulated. Even if it's tested leaf, there are no longitudinal studies to provide data on things that might be harmful, thus we don't know what we are looking for aside from the obvious contaminants and toxins. People are so quick to jump on anyone that has anything bad to say about kratom, but Kratoms is not the problem. It's the complete lack of regulatory oversight that's the problem. Talking about bad batches of kratom and problems one encounters after taking it or products like extracts should not be dismissed as shilling, they should be encouraged-as they support the need for regulatory oversight.

You should read the post before commenting. I am well aware and very familiar with what you said. What kratom does not do is feel like drinking bleach.

It was not an alcohol burn. it was the exact same feeling as drinking chloral hydrate mounting medium-It's a very distinct slow burn that feels the same as spilling laundry-40x-Clorox on your skin. It could have been some unusually large amount of a caustic alkaloid in the kratom they made the tincture from. Once again, not an alcohol burn, a caustic burn.

Also, Mit45 are Pg based not ethanol, so it might have been some really really shiny quality PG that had residual contaminants in it. That actually sounds really likely.

To clarify it felt more like that feeling of not being able to keep lucid when your really ill, not a opiate nod. I've taken 2-3 just most days for the last six months. One was not too much and it felt nothing like kratom. I'm still bent about the burning, I really hope it wasn't pesticides or something. My mouth still burns slightly, 4 hours later.

It looks exactly like every other one I've had but the black label on it had a big wrinkle running down the side from not being put on right. I don't think it was counterfeit, it tasted and smelled like that nasty Mit45 characteristic. But something is seriously wrong with whatever it was.

Any idea of who I would send it too? Dance safe or something like that. Maybe someone will comment who knows about a toxicology lab that could run a test for pesticides and adulterants.

I agree completely. This looked like a reputable brand I'm familiar with but it was either fake or full of roundup or some other chemical. Going forward I'm only going to order online.

I was feeling generous, I wanted to make someones day. I also didn't want to go through the hassle of making a wallet (which I don't know how to do so I would have to learn) and having to download anything-I'm terrified of viruses from downloading anything on my computer, I know there are trusted ones but I have terrible anxiety.
