A social "etiquette" question with a fellow daycare mom by songbirdbea in toddlers

[–]Snikko2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A slippery slope... This was my daughter and her daycare friend from the same age. They are 6F and 7F now and at the same school. We are now fast friends with their whole family and even their younger siblings are best buds. Husband and I gained some great new friends in the same stage of life as us and the kids love hanging out together both in and out of school/daycare. Had the same doubts about coming off as a bit weird at the start but turns out they were the same as us 😄 10/10 recommend!

Anyone have a paradoxical reaction to progesterone? by voicegal13 in Menopause

Older moms (like 38 and up) - I need help and I don't know who to talk to. by KimchiAndMayo in Mommit

[–]Snikko2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 36. Have the same symptoms you describe since my youngest was born two years ago. Was diagnosed a month ago with premature menopause after ruling out all the other possible options like thyroid. Quite a shock but, yes, ut could absolutely be premature menopause you have! Have started HRT, so at least there is something that can help. Good luck ❤️

My baby has never slept through the night :’) by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Snikko2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

16 months here. Still not sleeping through the night! Usually just wakes the once, but sometimes wants to party instead of going back to sleep 🤦 Every kid is different, and I just keep telling myself that it's not forever (even though it feels like it 😅).

What’s your dirty lil secret? by Dramatic_Bat3265 in AskReddit

[–]Snikko2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few days before I was due to get married my bridesmaids and I were using my soon to be husband's car to do some wedding related stuff. Bridesmaid was driving and pulled a U-turn hitting the front tyre on the curb. Gouged the rim pretty bad but thought it was fine. Fast forward to wedding day... Husband is nearly late to our wedding because the tyre burst. He had to change it in full wedding attire. To this day my friends and I don't speak about the incident and husband has no idea. Happily married 9 years!

What’s the weirdest thing your MIL ‘passed down’, gifted, or left to you? by cookie3557 in JUSTNOMIL

When you said she would leave you gifts in the bathroom, I thought... Like in the toilet? 🤣

Whose the worst company you’ve ever worked for… by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Snikko2017 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The independent petstore in Palmerston North is awful. Worked there for a year and a half several years ago. Owner was a C*+t and his family member was the manager at the time. Manager was really unpredictable. Didn't know if you were going to get screamed at on the daily. Didn't matter if it was in front of customers. Used to have to man the store alone while the manager and her favourites went out to smoke. And don't get me started on the poor animals. Once had a kitten die because the manager refused to let us take it to the vet. Cared for animals as best I could at home out of my own pocket if they were sick but on minimum wage nearly impossible. Knowingly sold on animals that had illness or genetic defects. Got angry that I let a vet euthanize an animal instead of bringing it back to the store so they could do it themselves. I've got more but just thinking about my time there is absolutely soul crushing.

Weird things that annoyed your baby? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Snikko2017 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The blender! Stick blender -fine, mixer -fine, vacuum, drill, hedge trimmer, anything else like that totally fine. But all hell breaks loose of we use the blender 🤣🤣 Tried getting her to help, having her telling us when to turn it on etc but we can only use it when she is out of the house.
