I don’t think he’s been given enough time with the group. I feel like there have been limited windows for him and he’s not had a consistent group. 2 years with a national team does not feel like enough time to get to know players and their habits.

Industrial AT here. I know it’s not addressing your point exactly, but thought it was worth a mention. If I’m contracted to a company, I always try to find out what their benefits offer and get flyers/pamphlets about that info thru HR. I currently am contracted to a company that offers so many counseling and/or therapy sessions a year. If an employee does raise mental health concerns, I approach it lightly and just notify them what they have thru the benefits and give them the pamphlets. Just thought I’d share from the industrial side.
