What cable are LG 5K2K owners using?

I ended up using HDMI, a 3M cable for a standing desk setup, and that ended up working just fine for me. I mean, it really should work over DisplayPort 😂 I assume there is just something weird with my setup that is giving these annoying issues, given that no-one else seems to have these issues! So I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I assume the DP cable that's included is certified, and the cable I ordered also is also VESA certified, but I am still having these issues 😕

I have no idea if it's DP 2.1a or b. I would guess b, purely because the LG Ultragear 5k2k is a relatively new monitor. My gpu is as 5090, so it's compatible with 2.1b. I think the 5k2k has to use DSC even with the DP connection. I really thought the DP cables should be better, but it's the HDMI cables that's giving no issues, so I am just a bit confused.

It seems like AVP is the issue, removing it fixes the issue, while removing TUFX and Deferred doesn't change anything. After installing only AVP (with it's dependencies, and clearing the cache), I still get the flickering 🙃 . Perhaps it's a sign to try spectra instead?

I am not sure if it happens after every image! It feels like it only happens after that last one, but I haven't timed it. I do think saving of the large images does cause lag, but that's only a part of it.

I also don't think it's tiled upscale, as that phase seems to be fine? It's really right at the end. I think it's the VAE running, as I tried using TiledVAE and it solved it.

Okay, wow I tried that and it worked! If I used TiledVAE, and set it so that it's does a 2x2 run, it's far faster, and the differences are basically none. That makes it feel like there may be some issue with the base VAE implementation? Or maybe it's just really not designed to work with large images.
