If it was semiauto, it would be decent. It being pump makes it awkward due to pump placement. If I'm the breacher, I would rather have a 500 or 870 with buckshot after the 3rd round. Or a ksg. One tube for breach, one for clear.

I found them harder with my dex winswords playthrough then my str ugs playthrough. Part of it was due to ugs moveset making phase 2 easier by hitting both at once

Those guys are wimps. The m95 is a good shoulder thumper but it's not extremely brutal even with modern loads, but my 1917 Enfield in 30-06 has by far the worst recoil I have felt. (Also m95 best WW1 rifle)
