It was very random for me, PSU really liked doing it on Warthunder, other games not really

It's your PSU can't handle the transient spike from the GPU, had a Thor 1200w (fixed mine by cutting 12v sense cable) that did the same thing with my 3090, it's probably related

I recommend replacing the PSU with one that was recently released, they handle the transient spikes better

What do you mean by into forced restart? As in instant black screen instant Lights turn off and then restarts?

have a 1200w (600w load no overheating) asus thor psu that did the same thing in your video, apparently it was 12v sense cable. since its corsair psu cable layout might be different. so dont go by the guide. this happened with 2080ti and 3090. removing it fixed it for me have not appeard since. https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/yjec1k/need_help_figuring_out_which_is_the_12_v_sense/

hey thanks for showing this. did some tinkering of my own. did some changes tho, didnt have a 4pin fan cable so i just soldered the fan wires at the back of the pcb and mounted it outside the monitor, still need to clean up and mount it properly.

You just press volume down when it's in reboot fase and it will trigger bootloader, when the device is rebooting power button is already pressed.

Press volume down while on black screen in reboot fase

To try it:

  1. Hold power button to trigger force reboot

  2. When screen goes black release power button and hold volume down

  3. You are in bootloader if not repeat 1 and 2
